Just like Steve Stone wonders about Geo Soto, I am going to wonder about Carlos Quentin, who hit .214 with 7-8 homers, last season. Yeah, I know he was a good minor leaguer.
You gotta remember that most of the time it's his first go-around at that stadium. Different dimensions, different fields. I still think he's a very good outfielder, but let him get his feet underneath him first. This is only his 3rd going on 4th month of his first season in the Majors.

What, in major league play, shows you that Felix Pie is a better hitter than Reed Johnson? You can show me all the projections in the world from baseballprospectus that tells you that, but that doesn't mean jack. Felix Pie has been a disappointment this year. He strikes out at an high rate, and doesn't walk. If that doesn't scream Corey Patterson to Cubs fans, nothing will. Felix has looked overmatched this year many times. This year OPS vs. right handers: .603 .661 Guess which one is Felix and which on is Johnson. Don't want to talk about Pie's .224 batting average? Or his horrible .291 obp?

Here is the link. I was surprised they kept him pitching yesterday. Wish he would have blown out his shoulder/arm while at it. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/05/02/gallardo-has-torn-acl.aspx
If Pitino would leave Louisville for IU he should be given the job immediately without interviewing anybody else. I was at Kentucky when he came in and cleaned up a mess much worse than IU is facing in no time at all. Then he got Louisville back to an elite level, even though it may have taken a little longer than it took him at Kentucky. He's exactly the fix for a broken program. Problem with that is Indiana athletics can't afford Pitino.
