The only hope we have to improve after this season are our minor leaguers and trading those minor leaguers. Yes we could trade for Dunn (IF HES AVAILABLE TO THE CUBS), but who is going to be the scapegoat when Dunn leaves after the season and you have to start Angel Pagan in the OF next year because you traded Felix Pie, Jake Fox, Sean Marshall, Carlos Marmol, and whatever other crazy stuff the Reds will ask for to trade Dunn to a Central team. Then what will you be saying? Oh well at least the Cubs traded for Dunn and we won 87 games and got swept by the Mets in the NLDS. I doubt it And we'll just keep enjoying not going to the playoffs.

If the Reds weren't making insane demands for Dunn (and everyone on their roster), someone would have gotten it done or you would at least have heard far more speculation. 2. When Hill and Pie are both cheap and successful with the Reds (possibly All-Stars) and we're stuck trying to get mediocre, more expensive veterans to replace them, you and most others would have complained to no end.
