  1. I think the Cubs would have a leg up over any team that wont offer him a 40 man spot... but I too would imagine that the 40 man may be the dealbreaker.
  2. Same here. Beyond Price and Weiters, everybody has too much risk for me... Is there a good chance at least one of them falls to us? Price is obviously the cream of the pitching crop. He'll almost definately be the first pitcher picked, and probably go #1 overall. Beyond that, it's whether the next team wants pitching or hitting... it'll be 50/50 between Brackman and Weiters, most likely.
  3. Our boys were swinging at a lot more pitches today. Anybody know how the final tally for walks compares to yesterday's?
  4. I'd venture to say his bat could play there now... he just makes Barrett look like Bench at the moment.
  5. All these lucky hits by Tomas Perez are starting to worry me. I was hoping we'd release him outright by now.
  6. He did, he was quoting BP I get the new BP when I go home tomorrow! :D
  7. He has to be expendable, Billy Butler cannot possibly step on a field. Ever. And people complain about Dunn's defense. I think he's still enough of an upgrade over Shealy that he needs to be playing first in interleague games... but that's about it.
  8. Billy Butler could make Mike Sweeney expendable by the all-star break.
  9. Fox is not looking promising at his bid to stay behind the plate...
  10. Does anybody know if we're gonna see Gordon today?
  11. So, when does MLB institute a rule banning Billy Butler from playing in the field?
  12. He's not tied up in the trunk of Stoney's car...
  13. He will. Was Kinkade's injury really that bad? Poor guy. :( I'm pretty positive I heard it break. Gooz hits 97. Damn. That's awful. It was. He was having a pretty good ST too.

  15. No, I was thinking that too. Thirded. Fourthded
  16. Guzman coming out of the gate and hitting 96.
  17. Prior just doesn't have the stuff to go up top right now...
  18. The junk the Royals got for Sisco is in to pinch run.
  19. Esteban German is the king of spring training stolen bases. He had 11 last spring... and 7 during the season.
  20. Based on the pitch where it showed 88 MPH and then 94 MPH right after indicates that the gun is pointed close to the batter (as it picked up either the bat speed or the ball after contact). That means we're working with a slow gun. Wrigley uses a fast gun, from what I've noticed. So basically, add 2-3 mph and that's what we'd be seeing from him if he were pitching in Wrigley at midseason. So Prior is really working more in the 87-90 range.
