    Edmonds is a lefty. I think the difference in ability between Wuertz and Cotts covers for the platoon disadvantage. What about the difference between Edmonds and Taguchi? That might change things a bit.

    Can't wait to see it again on Baseball Tonight and listen to the hosts talk about how much of a trooper Eckstein is. they won't show highlights...the yankees and boston are playing and there isn't enough time to cover the other teams in the majors tonight They'll probably just mention Eckstein being "extra gritty" on the ticker.

    I only think there are two situations where the wave is appropriate: 1) The crowd is so angry with their team that they do the wave as a sarcastic way of ripping the team (seen this done twice). 2) Wisconsin football games between the first and second quarters. 3) Waving to flag the beer vendor down.
