    Saying someone is on steroids just because he's having a big year is about as old as Julio Franco. He is murdering every number he has ever put up and it is barely june. He could just be Benito Santiagoing. Wasn't that steroids too? No, just a freak year in the HR column. Actually, I wanna say he was implicated in the Grimsley scandal.

    They don't have a choice. The Cubs next off day is 6/18 and their short. Eyre up in the 'pen means they are willing to sacrifice this game. Which is why it hurts having a billion outfielders on the team. Or we could just can Scott Eyre and replace him with a real long reliever.

    So far tonight Trammel has ordered a sac bunt from Pie in the first inning, and left Cesar Izturis in to bat with the bases juiced and two outs against a struggling pitcher in a crucial situation. Honeymoon = over

    Cesar Izturis should never be allowed to carry a bat to the plate in crucial situations... even if he's just giving Aramis a new one after a broken bat foul ball.

    I seem to recall a few years ago when Matt Clement was pitching against Alex Cora for 14 pitches. That went much quicker.

    yup Good god... Trammell now makes me miss Lou, who almost makes me miss Dusty. This is sad. Why can't we get a competant manager?

    My prediction: Barrett to the DL. Gallagher is gonna be our backup catcher.

    For some reason, all I can think of at times like this is my high school chemistry class. Mr. Davenport would not let us rest until we balanced the equation, so I'm freaking out right now not knowing what on earth is going on to counter Gallagher coming up.

    Who here thinks that? He really improved the team from when he took over. They just kind of stagnated their 3rd year. My dad who is a diehard Tiger fan was telling me 2 years ago how good the Tigers were going to be last year. So yeah I think Leyland did kind of walk into a good situation and Trammell kind of got thrown under the Bus. I also think Trammell deserves more Hall of Fame consideration than he gets Not just consideration. If you look at his numbers, he's a no-doubter.

    I don't like Gathright by any means... but I wouldn't say no to acquiring him if we can get him for a nothing piece like Novoa or Eyre. It'd be nice to have him in the system just in case he proves that he can actually keep that OBP in the stratosphere with another year in AAA.

    I really think Pie brings a spark to them team..Before yesterday, I beleive they were like 12-9 with him..When he's there, the hitting seems more contagious and the players don't look so bored and out of it. I know I never take a fridge break when he's batting. Electrifying player. As for Soriano... Pie lets Soriano worry less about his defense and more about his hitting. Same can't be said for a Jones CF. Hell, I ripped apart my entire living room when I saw the lineup looking for my cell phone to make sure my friends knew he was in the game. If he does that for me, I can't imagine what he does for the rest of the team.

    I'd rather Gooz and Marmol be starting. Nothing quite like selling high on Marquis and Marshall. comparing Marshall to Marquis? that's harsh. Simply in the fact that their perceived value is probably a lot higher now than we're likely to see it for a while to come. I'd rather hold on to Marshall than Marquis, if it came to it.
