  1. Now that's not entirely true. There is some value in having a low beta. It's just not terribly useful when that beta is applied towards sub-standard performance.
  2. He's a left-handed Murton... minus a touch of BA but plus a few walks.
  3. Soriano Fukudome Lee Ramirez Soto I don't really care who you put behind them (though I'd go DeRosa, Pie, Cedeno), you're gonna be hard pressed to find a top five that is better than that.
  4. Yeah... congrats. Your act got old inside of 20 posts. That makes you only the 2nd person I've ever bothered to put on ignore.
  5. Not really, an above average backup catcher probably would have been the best position player the cubs have developed in the last 20 years.
  6. ](*,) sadly, given lou's a.d.d. managing, it wouldn't surprise me if this happened. Come on, he wasn't even finding the strike zone and every guy was hitting him hard. Throw the Brewers out against him and the Cubs get destroyed. If Marquis or Marshall looks strong the next few starts, I would put Lieber in over Hill. Lilly didn't come anywhere near the zone in his last start. Should Lieber be replacing him? Let's be serious. Z, Lilly, and Hill are our best pitchers. Getting rid of any of those three would be asinine.
  7. Not according to Baseball America. But Heyward has a ceiling that Schafer couldn't even come close to.
  8. It's a two horse race between Miguel Cabrera and David Wright to me... Oh, and in case people are forgetting... Miguel Cabrera, born April 18th, 1983. David Wright, born December 20th, 1982. Cabrera has been around forever, but is still a week away from turning 25.
  9. I just got this exact error not 30 seconds ago.
  10. How much longer until the job is Cedeno's?
  11. This isn't funny... and the mere fact that he thinks it might be amusing on some level is patently offensive.
  12. You should know better than that. I just meant "through the end of the game."
  13. Well that should shut some people up for a while...
  14. Is the Parrot really trying to psych Hart out by thrusting his pelvis?

  16. He makes Theriot look good at the plate... No, he doesn't. Pie at least managed to put some power behind one foul ball. Theriot hasn't ever hit a ball that hard.
