  1. I'm almost surprised that Lou didn't send Soto there on the full count...
  2. It was a double switch. The pitchers spot is right behind Fukudome.
  3. 1.) Johnson vs. Pie 2.) Theriot vs. Cedeno (and Fontenot vs. Cedeno, to a lesser extent) 3.) Rich Hill That should get you started.
  4. It was a cutter right in the middle of the plate. The outcome may not have been what we wanted, but Lee should definitely be allowed to swing at that pitch any time he gets it.
  5. You have to be kidding me... how does Soriano get blamed for that?
  6. to be fair, most lineups become average when you remove arguably their best hitter and turn their third or fourth-best hitter into a lesser version of neifi perez. Now that Lee is hitting homers again, Aramis cannot possibly be considered our best hitter - though your point stands. Aramis is taking walks now, though... which used to be the exclusive domain of Lee.
  7. Let's all be completely honest here. Theriot is good at stealing bases... when he gets to pick his spots. This season, he's on track for 66 SB attempts. He's running a lot more often than he ever had before, and certainly in much worse situations. He wont succeed attempting this many swipes, and he's hurting our team right now everytime he takes off. He needs to be stopped from running so damn often.
  8. Hardcore just blushed at this post. This is the most nonsensical post in the history of nonsensical posts I can't believe I missed that one. Another one gets to go on my list.
  9. he doesn't actually. 7 SB, 6 CS You're right... that's worse than just "suck"
  10. For anybody who was wondering... http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/bsplit.cgi?n1=gwynnto01&year=00 Tony Gwynn had the most PA at the 3rd spot in the order, and posted the highest OPS there.
  11. Please continue to talk crap about him. Hopefully he'll shut you up again. He'll do his usual 1 good AB where he hits a HR, then strike out on 7 total pitches in his next 3 ABs. I'm really tired of watching him swing at everything. He watched 2 pitches for strikes. Never let the facts get in the way of good hyperbole.

I'm really tired of watching him swing at everything. He only swung at one pitch in the last at bat. The last plate appearance before that was a walk.
  13. Please continue to talk crap about him. Hopefully he'll shut you up again.
  14. Being better than Dusty Baker doesn't make Lou a good manager. The truth is, if any of us were as bad at our jobs as he is at his, we'd be getting canned immediately.
  15. Can't disagree, but I'd rather see him get a few days of rest during the Break.... Agreed. Considering the load he's catching right now... I'm real worried about his performance at the end of the season. I hope Lou wises up and rests him a bit more often.
  16. If he does get to it, I doubt his uniform stays as clean as Pie's did.
  17. Why the hell are we throwing Marmol in a blowout?
