  1. Comcast using strange apostrophes on that poll: Do you like having a manager who wear's his emotions on his sleeve?
  2. Murton can't play, he has to babysit the batboy & girl.
  3. It's about time he got the call ...
  4. The main Chicagosports.com page has the 2-3 second soundbite of Lou yelling at the press conference listed under "Lou Piniella's postgame rant." As far as Cubs manager's post-game rants go, Lou's was very mild.
  5. You KNOW someone was itching to ask the Friday the 13th and Ohman wearing 13 question, Lou headed everyone off at the pass.
  6. Are we resorting to dissecting him to figure out what's wrong?
  7. My concern is that he won't be signed or traded.
  8. only if I can hiss too You can even PM-hurl invectives!
  9. Agreed ... Hill's quietly moved to the top of the heap as far as I'm concerned.
  10. People should boo me for being a Cubs fan.
  11. I think it's the curse of instant coffee.
  12. Well, that was a letdown!
  13. Not a great overall line, but he only walked one. The increase in his BB rate after his promotion last year had been the concern going into this season, so it's good to see that he's throwing strikes in his starts so far.
  14. What's funny is that it looks to me like 98Navigator posted the new information in the existing thread. (eta: I changed the subject title after reading through the new posts, but I didn't merge any threads)
  15. Argh, the first TN game was going well when I left work ...
  16. On XM this morning, they said that someone on the bench mentioned it to Narron, who hadn't seen it. He then watched the replay.
  17. I'm getting skeptical, too. If it were up to Hendry, the deal would have been done. Someone somewhere doesn't want it to happen.
  18. Arizona Phil has a first-hand report up at The Cub Reporter.
  19. It seemed odd that they kept saying Prior was staying in EXT to strengthen his shoulder ... but not by pitching. It reminded me of the injury-prevention program he was on last year that involved not pitching and then being injured. I'm sad that someone so talented has had his career stall so early ... and I'm sad that -- even though the Cubs weren't relying on Prior, blah blah blah -- there's no doubt that Prior being able to return at some level of MLB effectiveness would have been a big boost to the team. With that said, I'm looking forward to the minor league pitching matchups tonight with Gallagher, Veal and Samardzija all starting.
