  3. You could email Mick Gillispie (email in the broadcast sticky) and ask. eta: I think peoriachiefs39 posted recently that Dopirak had a pulled muscle.
  4. Yes, outside the division. My point was that inside the division, the Cubs aren't playing well. Since everyone says it's a weak division.
  5. Would it be overly snarky to mention that Ronny needs to find a clue about the location of second base both offensively and defensively? It's all well and good that the Cubs are in a weak division. The problem is that the Cubs are playing that weak division constantly so far and losing.
  6. Take the 'premium' out of the url and it's a regular link.
  7. Cool. I also remember a stats guy on Murph in the offseason who predicted a breakout year for Rich on the basis that his minor league numbers are some of the best in recent memory. The early returns are, he was right on. I don't remember his name though. iirc, he had the best jamesian game score last season, including sanchez's non-no. and yes, john dewan, a guy i don't usually like to hear from as he seems to turn away from meaningful stats and call attention to meaningless ones. I was pretty excited after listening to him. I make no secret I don't really follow the minors, so I wasn't aware of Hill's dominance (well, maybe a little but he was talking like Hill's minor league career was one of the greatest.......ever). This was the thread about Rich Hill & '07 Projections from last year.
  8. Very glad to read about this. Baserunning is one of the little things that the Cubs just don't do well. Nice to see an attempt to improve on that instead of tired resignation that it is what it is.
  9. The Don has hit a rough patch. Still it could be a lot worse. He only had 3 BB today in 4.1 (and had 1 in the first 4), so that's good. That's what I was thinking!
  10. Ugh -- hope you get it up & running today! Tomorrow's game thread is all yours.
  11. Just wait until the trade deadline when Hendry tells you to trade yourself, Cliff.
  12. I'm going to spot-start the game thread for today. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_448179.jpg Rich Hill, 2-0, 0.64 ERA, 14.0IPs, 11K/4BB vs http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_150230.jpg Mark Redman, 0-2, 12.96 ERA, 8.1IPs, 4K/3BB
  13. Gallagher was pulled at 6.2 IPs with two runners on. Paul Schappert came on in relief and gave up a triple. Gallagher's final line: 6.2IPs, 5H, 2R/2ER, 8K/3BB, 4GO-8FO eta: Oops, should have refreshed before posting the same info!
  14. He had the World Baseball Classic before last season.
  15. That type of efficiency is important for Cubs fans.
