    Well ... good luck seeing the game. Gallagher will be pitching tomorrow (if it's not rained out!). Chiefs lose 4-3, the Cougars' winning run an unearned run on an error by Simokaitis.

    Good to hear, DJaxx! :D A solo shot by Javier Herrera puts the Cougars up 3-2. Bottom of the 6th - Eric Patterson walks in a 10-pitch AB (first walk was a 9-pitch effort), steals 2B and advances to third on a wild pitch. One out. Jesse Schmidt get the sac-fly. 3-3 in the bottom of the 6th.

    A broken bat single followed by a HR by David Castillo ties the KaneCo - Peoria game at 2 in the 5th. 8th HR of the year allowed by Estrada. Castillo sat out earlier this season for his 3rd minor league steroids policy violation. Other than the HR, a line out and a K, Estrada has induced all groundouts.

    Wow, I tuned in after Johnson was out of the game and didn't realize they had stolen 6 bases against him. 5 hits, 4BBs, 6 SBs in 5 innings = only 2 runs, 1 earned. I *know* I remember people posting before that they thought they were sitting near his mother at games based on her behavior while he was pitching.

    Chiefs lose 7-3. Kane County is up 10-3 in the season series and have won 7 straight vs Peoria. :x

    D'oh, Harvey didn't score on that. It was Aaron Smith (yay!). I'm still sleeeepy; that's my excuse. Leadoff triple by Schmidt in the bottom of the 9th! ETA: Uhhhh, make that the bottom of the 8th! This is NOT my day for PBP. :oops: Sorry. 6-3 Chiefs to the 9th now. Sellout crowd tonight in Peoria.

    Wood pitching exclusively out of the stretch Pineda 0-1 slider 87 0-2 in at knees looking 1-2 slider in dirt, bounces in dirt 1-2 fouled at plate K beautiful slider, called strike 3 Leslie 1-0 upstairs, ball, 98mph fastball 1-1 swing at fastball 1-2 98mph at knees K swing, miss, 96mph Padron 0-1 called popped up to EPat, only ball hit in play vs Wood Per Nathan, only 3 balls thrown this outing by Wood. He steamrolled them. :D

    Bottom of the 6th in Peoria, Kane County winning 6-1. Kerry Wood K'd the only batter he faced in the top in the 6th, and it sounds like he'll start the 7th. Another solid effort from Grant Johnson: 5IPs, 5 hits, 2R, 1ER, 3Ks/4BBs.

    Realizing that RBI totals are a dangerous criterion, it's worth noting that Harvey is now 2nd in the Midwest League in RBIs and has 60-some fewer ABs than the league leader.

    Go Pinto! Billek has the rep of throwing strikes -- and he has been present for the last 2 triple-plays in the Cubs organization. It would be nice to see the Chiefs run continue. What's up with Jesus Yepez? I don't know anything about him, other than he's been pitching a lot lately.
