  1. He always runs as hard as he can. He's fast enough! How can you not like that? Sadly, it's kind of rare.
  2. 3-0 Beloit to the 6th Blevins gets squeezed with 2 outs and the bases loaded, but rallies to a K for the 3rd out. 2-0 Palm Beach through 6.
  3. Excellent! Blevins contains the damage, still 3-0 Beloit 1-0 Palm Beach Weber ran into some trouble in the 4th; Layden comes in and gets a clutch line-out double play! Daytona with one hit through 4.
  4. You beat me to posting that! Simokaitis bobbles a ball and gets the error - 3rd error of the evening so far. OK: grounder to the right side, but Guzman fails to cover 1st. WHAT IS UP WITH CUBS PITCHERS NOT COVERING FIRST BASE? Maybe they could practice it a little bit more often?!? It's driving me CRAZY! RBI double = 3-0 Beloit :x The double happened on pitch #60 for Guzman, so he's done for the evening. Blevins coming in.
  5. 10 in a row before that. Maybe it will wear out Penny.
  6. WTG, Eric! :) Scoreless through 3 for Daytona. The errors on Fuld and Harvey were the first errors for either in the second half.
  7. Beloit isn't too far from Madison and they have a night game tomorrow. I recommend he hits up the Nitty Gritty and see where the night takes him from there. :D Let Nathan know. :D Meh, HBP, SB, bloop & an error on Fuld = 1-0 Beloit basehit to right, high throw home by Harvey is scored an error as runner goes to 2B 2-0 Beloit Tom Pratt out to talk to Guzman Scoreless through 2 in Daytona
  8. Is your audio coming in ok, Jon? Peajay is trying to listen in, but he's getting a lot of loud buzzing. The volume seems lower than usual, but I can still listen in.
  9. Today is Ryan Harvey's 21st birthday! Oneri Fleita is in Beloit to see Guzman pitch. I wonder if UK is there tonight? Gallagher got the call about being promoted at about 11:30 last night; he and Mendez flew out of Milwaukee this morning. The start of the Daytona game is rain-delayed (shocking, I know).
  10. I thought I could fix it with supermod powers before anyone noticed! 8-[ But yeah, it's nice to see.
  11. I have an easier time with the day games, too.
  12. Now that Gallagher was promoted to Daytona (which was announced after the posts above), the Peoria Chiefs had to shuffle the upcoming pitching plans. Gallagher had been due to make his last regular season start for Peoria on Friday. Nathan Baliva posted this in the minor leagues forum regarding the starting pitching setup for Peoria:
  13. They played the highlight clips yesterday of Bellhorn's 2 switch-hit HRs in an inning in Milwaukee ... ahh, the memories!
  14. I'm hoping for a solid outing of Prior at home ... one that doesn't involve throwing 200 pitches plz.
  15. FYI, from the Chiefs website: Beloit will throw RH Matt Garza who was a 1st round draft pick this June out of Fresno State University ETA: The Chiefs need to win at least one of the next three games vs. Beloit to have a chance at the playoffs. Kane County just needs to lose; they play South West Michigan tonight at 7pm.
  16. Blackford is reporting to Peoria and will see some action before their regular season ends on Monday.
  17. I'm glad he'll get his start in on Saturday for Daytona!
  18. Good for him! I'm sad that I'll miss his last start, though.
  19. Check your PMs, CubbieGirl (and yes, it's totally ok to bring people who don't post here). :) The Chiefs just announced that all tickets for Sunday and Monday are $4! Even if you reserve them online. So we've reserved a block of 10 so far behind home plate. Angel Guzman is now pitching on Sunday. Good times! :D
  20. A potentially annoyingly complicated question: Could you run down the basics of the wild-card race from here on out for the Chiefs?
  21. Teasley, wearing the long sox, in to face 3-4-5 for Beloit. Chiefs 2-1, bottom 9 If the Chiefs can close this out, they'll pick a game up in the wild card.
  22. Oh well ... "gunned down" sounded better since I didn't see or hear it. :) Are the $4 tickets Sun - Mon for all seats? Edit to Add: Yes, they are!!! And lawn seats are $3. YAY!
