  1. Goff isn't a top 5 guy, but I wouldn't say they don't have a QB. He seems to be getting comfortable in their system. He had 6 interceptions in his first 7 games, but only once since then and 15 TD throws. Once Jameson Williams is up to speed with their system, they may have one of the most explosive passing attacks in the league next year.
  2. Looks like I have some favorable matchups for this week. It's going to be hard to pick someone other than Jared Goff against the Bears defense. Indoor stadium so weather will be good. I'm kind of liking Montgomery at RB since Detroit gave up more than 300 yards rushing last week. I've penciled in Jerry Jeudy against KC's atrocious secondary, but I have plenty of other options if I want to change. RB's I have available this week besides Montgomery are: Pollard or Elliott vs. Tenn Jones or Dillon vs Minn Williams or Swift vs Bears Stevenson vs. Miami Najee vs. Ravens Kenneth Walker vs. Jets Wilson or Mostert vs. NE Gibson or Robinson vs. CLE Foreman or Hubbard vs. Tampa Singletary or Cook vs. Cinci McKinnon vs. Denver Akers vs. LAC Murray vs. KC WR's I have available this week: Lockett vs. Jets Higgins or Boyd vs. Buff Devonta Smith vs. NO Kirk or Jones or Jones Jr. vs. Houston Cooper vs. WASH Aiyuk vs. Raiders Gabe Davis vs. Cinn DJ Moore vs. TB C Samuel or Dotson vs. Cle Olave vs. Phily C. Watson or Lazard vs. Minn Evans vs. Car JuJu vs. Den Allen or Williams vs. Rams Pittman vs. Giants Meyers vs. Miami Pickens or Johnson vs. Balt London vs. Ari Hopkins or Hollywood vs. Atl Slayton vs. IND Jeudy or Sutton vs. KC QB's I still have besides Goff are: Lawrence Geno D. Jones Carr Purdy Mills Dalton M. Jones Pickett Heinicke Mayfield Darnold Watson Huntley McCoy or McSorley Minshew if Hurts isn't ready Willis Also have every TE not named Kelce QB is so thin now, I have to try to stay away from playoff QB's at this point if I can. There is one team that has managed their roster amazingly well. They still have Josh Allen, Mahomes and Hurts at QB. This was the team that used Minshew this past week. Also still has Rodgers, Watson or Purdy. Dude still has Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs and Kelce at WR. Gonna be a tough team to beat.
  3. Seems like they'd be pretty good. 1 of 16 teams that haven't been on. Playoff teams from this or last year don't have to be on. Nor do any teams with a new HC. Leaving only the Bears and possibly whoever misses the playoffs between Jags, Giants and Seahawks as the teams yet to be on. Of course, teams can be on more than once if they choose. Also, I believe Bears get 1st crack at coaching the Senior Bowl this year if they end up with the worst record in the NFC. So that could be a huge draft prep tool to use for 2023. It's kind of what I was thinking. Their situation this year makes them a good candidate. Young QB and a huge roster turnover. High draft pick possible. Hutchinson made for good tv this past year.
  4. What are the chances the Bears end up on Hard Knocks this year?

    NFL Week 16

This works for me. Fiber optic cable will be here this spring. I can just get rid of both satellite dishes and save enough money to pay for Sunday Ticket.
  6. What a painful weekend to watch football. My only remaining fantasy football team takes a dump early, leaving me with just my King Of The Mountain roster, and they don't play until Sunday night. I made it another week. It's down to 6 of us for the 25K first place prize. It was bad enough to not have anyone playing until Sunday night as I can't see anyone else's roster until my guys start playing. And then when I can see the live scoring, I'm starting in dead last place. And then I have to put myself through the pain of watching two hapless teams have a kickathon, with none of my three fantasy players doing anything through the first three quarters. Alas, I was saved by a breakaway run by James Conner and an even later rally by Brady. The other two guys above me that were also below the cutline also had Brady. In fact, we were the only three that had Brady. The guy that sat at the last spot above the cut line had Chris Godwin, which is who I had. So I had to somehow jump 3 people who all had similar players to me. Dire hopes almost made me quit watching. Turns out, I'm the only one with Brady to make it another week. Had Brady thrown a TD in overtime, all three of us would have advanced. I feel bad for those guys after knowing that OT gave them one more false hope to make it another week. Brady rallied so well, I actually ended up in 3rd place in points. Rather shocked that Minshew was on a roster this week, but he killed it. Oh, in case I forget, horsefeathers Brady!

    NFL Week 16

Especially with a backup QB as your starter. Take the time out and talk about it. Design a play or two.
  8. I was reading that if the Bears lose out and the Texans win one more game, the Bears move into the #1 spot. Is that right? 3 wins and a tie is better than 3 wins?
  9. I don't remember any bigger name WR's that were reasonably available. Hill, Adams and Kirk signed lucrative deals. AJ and Hollywood Brown cost a small fortune in draft picks. After those guys, you have JuJu, Zay Jones, Corey Davis, Devante Parker, Robert Woods, etc.... Who could they reasonably afford that improves the WR room this past offseason? Granted, I wanted them to go WR with one of those 2nd rounders. But rookie WR's aren't a guarantee to be better than what they have in the first year, either. Kirk's deal was worth the money. Add in Zay Jones too. The last guy I liked who hasn't produced is Cedrick Wilson, but you could at least make a case he's stuck behind Hill and Waddle. When he got snaps in Dallas he produced. Juju has been great for KC. Not sure what type of deal he would have taken to come here as he obviously took a one year deal to prove it with Mahomes as his QB. And then Cooper was available in trade for peanuts. Everyone seemed to believe Kirk’s deal wasn’t worth what the Jags paid, IIRC. JuJu and Zay are in this discussion based on hindsight. The Amari deal would have been great. I’ll give you that one. I wanted Burks, Watson or Pickens if and when the Bears picked. Was speechless they went defense instead.
  10. I don't remember any bigger name WR's that were reasonably available. Hill, Adams and Kirk signed lucrative deals. AJ and Hollywood Brown cost a small fortune in draft picks. 11. Beleiving that is exactly the problem he absolutely could have gotten a bigger name WR and OL at minimum to jumpstart the offense and teams rebuilding. This massive cap space they have in 2023 didng materialize out of thin air, but is a direct result of punting in 2022 FA. Believing they can't spend now and extend Fields later is basically owner propoganda. I'm not saying they can't spend now. I'm just saying they have to spend while keeping an eye on the biggest prize (Fields). They are clearly going to be going on a significant spending spree this offseason since the cupboard is so barren.
  12. I have to give Poles a pass on the entire offseason. He had so little to work with, there was really very little he could have done to make this team a success in one season. One of the weakest rosters in the league, very few draft picks and a minimal amount of cap space made it next to impossible to make improvements. He certainly wasn't going to be outbidding anybody for talent. We saw how much WR FA's were going for. It absolutely sucks that there is very little WR talent available this offseason, and that is my one concern with how he goes about handling improvements there. I honestly don't think he can screw up improving the roster everywhere else considering his resources this time. His biggest hurdle will be figuring out a way to spend all of that money while also being able to extend Fields when the time comes.
  13. Bernie Sanders, is that you? He ain't wrong!
  14. Guess they should hope to win a playoff game or two during this spending spree.
  15. I was told that this is Bear weather. Seems a bit more like Bills weather to me.
  16. King Of The Mountain posted the results late this morning, so I'm not going to have much time today to do my normal research. I always like to plug the holes in my lineup right away just to be safe. And today, I put Tom Brady at AZ, James Connor at home vs. TB and Chris Godwin at AZ. I'm a little nervous about the weather this coming weekend, and that one single game avoids all weather issues. And it's the Sunday night game, which means I'll be able to watch it live.
  17. Those drove me nuts as I alluded to above. Williams did almost nothing all game, and the only outcome he could do damage is if the Chargers allowed a TD, the Titans didn't go for 2, and they had enough time for a last drive or got the ball in OT. Of course the Titans scored, kicked the XP and left enough time for Herbert to throw 2 long passes to him. I'd have roughly a 90% chance of winning had the Chargers D stopped them rather than the 57% chance I have now. My bench Defense puts me over the top, too. I've won it all 3 times since 2013 and lost the championship game by 4 points another time, so I guess it's someone else's turn.
  18. I did make it another week in my King of The Mountain. All will be forgiven if I can figure out a way to win that. 46% of the field had Prescott, Miles Sanders and Keenan Allen in their respective scoring categories. I had two of those guys, and that scared me a bit. Keenan Allen was actually my original pick for this week. No one had all three of Prescott, Sanders and Allen. It would have been a winner, but just barely. Every team currently below the cut line has Keenan Allen. Shockingly, McCaffrey, Henry, Dalvin Cook and Jonathan Taylor all showed up on a roster this week. Not sure how you haven't used those guys by now. The guy who had Taylor is watching the rest of this event from his tv set. One guy has Aaron Rodgers (as the only player left to play this week) and he's going to have to match Dak Prescott's numbers to avoid the cut. 9 people left for the Christmas weekend. Family gathering is all day Christmas Eve. I'll have to record the Bears game, but I'd really like to find a way to watch all of my rostered players on another day if at all possible. I won't risk losing for the sake of watching, however. The final weeks will be 9 teams, 6 teams, 4 teams, 3 teams, 2 teams. The rules say that this competition will run until the NFC and AFC Championships games or until it's down to just two teams. I show this will end in the Divisional round. Tomorrow I get to work on creating my lineup.
  19. Great day from my fantasy team yesterday, but the opponent's team played better. Those late catches by Mike Williams did me in. Hopkins was open time and again and McSorley was panic stricken and couldn't complete a pass to anyone. If McCoy doesn't leave with a concussion, I probably win. Also would have won if Fields reaches 100 yards rushing. He ended up with 95. That 5 point bonus along with the extra carry ties me and I had the tie breaker. Grrrr.
  20. None of the high schools around me had soccer when I was going to school. I think they all have them now, but I haven't really looked into it. I have friends that love the World Cup and we have had 4am morning drink fests to watch USA in the World Cup when I lived in California. That's about the extent of my soccer previous to this year. I watched all the USA games and I watched both semifinals and the finals this year. Awesome! Now I wish I got to see Messi play more. That guy is clearly a special player. I've heard his name for years, but this was really my first experience watching him.
  21. What does that average look like if Fields puts 150 rushing on them? He may have to do that if Claypool sits this Sunday.
  22. To me, Instagram is Twitter since I don't have either. You can’t compare the two. It’s apples and oranges. Twitter is more like a rotten crabapple and Instagram is the plastic orange you put out for display purposes only And what's Tik Tok? I do have a Facebook account, so I'm not completely prehistoric. LOL.
  23. Well, to start, as that post clearly says, it's Instagram, not Twitter. To answer your question, if a profile is set to public and not private, you can see all of their follows and followers without following them. To me, Instagram is Twitter since I don't have either.
  24. Not a fan of any of those, but I'd agree with Darnold as the best of the bunch.
  25. Eagles D has held opposing QB's to 21 YPG rushing
