  1. I have 3 friends that are still stout Lions fans. I take my hat off to that kind of loyalty. I actually cheer along with them when they aren't playing the Bears. I can relate to fans who have even more sorry franchises than to cheer for than me.
  2. Everything I've read says you can watch up to 3 streams at the same time on one You Tube TV account.
  3. I believe I recall my prediction was 85-90 wins. It's been a lot of fun watching them during this hot streak.
  4. It was close to a disaster, but it was also his very first inning in the bigs. I'm not concerned. He got the yips out of the way and now he's got some great confidence going into this next start.
  5. I was agreeing with you, not chastising you. LOL. I was agreeing that it's a bit silly to express so much pain in watching a team win week after week, while also being a staunch fan of the Loveable Losers.
  6. Bears destroy GB at home 42-13. Fields has too many weapons now to not be successful.
  7. Seems a bit off considering this same guy probably volunteered to watch a miserable baseball team for decades.
  8. I'll get it, but the people putting in our fiber optic cable here said it won't be done until sometime around the end of construction season, whatever that means.
  9. I'm pretty happy with this offseason. Now they can sit and wait for another move to improve where they feel necessary. Might be able to grab a good young pass rusher off of someone's practice squad or sign a vet that hasn't found a team or a camp casualty if they still want to add depth to that position. Patience allowed them to wait out Yannick for a one year deal.
  10. Moore, Mooney, Claypool and the rookie gives Fields speed, size and the ability to get open. Kmet and Tonyan (assuming Tonyan is back to 100%) at TE will make it hard for any of the previous guys mentioned to get doubled up. Any RB's (that can catch the ball out of the backfield will just be added bonus. I see an explosive offense. The question will be whether Fields can see it and then execute it. I think the running game will be just as good as last year, if not better. In other words, I don't really see a drop off in production from Montgomery to Foreman/Herbert/Johnson with the potential improvement on the line and the passing threat. It's the defense that might take awhile to gel. But, I kinda like that we might actually have a QB that can reach 4000 yards passing or the first time in my life.
  11. I remember someone faking their own death on Cubs.com about the same time Tim set up NSBB.com. That was basically the perfect time to leave Cubs.com. Hmm. I'm only showing 1.6k posts. That's not much considering I've been here since 2003. That's alright. I'm sure most of the 1.6k posts weren't worthy to be read or responded to anyway. At least my avatar survived.
  12. By making a first round pick in the supplemental draft, I think they have to give up the same pick in the first round of the 2024 draft. Everything I've read points to that, so I'm not sure why any team would want to make a supplemental pick.
  13. I think Poles wants some of those available DE's, but they are probably holding out for a team that gives them a better chance at playoffs. There was talk today that they are interested in bringing Quinn back, but he's upset about being traded in the first place. Well, we did trade him to a team that had a chance to win the Super Bowl, so he shouldn't be that bitter. A combination of Quinn and Yannick (I'm not even going to try to guess how his last name is spelled) seems like a nice complement to all of the other moves made to put a respectable defense on the field. Poles may just have to wait it out until these guys realize that they cost more than any of the playoff hopefuls can afford to pay. Adding those two guys (or Clark or the like) gives the Bears a chance of being a playoff team, IMO. I'm also wondering if Poles is holding out for teams that still want to add veteran help at other positions where it frees up a younger DE via trade. Basically, I'm trusting that the DE room is not complete. If it is, it's going to be very tough once again for the secondary.
  14. I thought I read that the game would air simultaneously on NBC and on Peacock. If that's the case, then maybe it's just so they can reach people who only stream?
  15. I had a free version at one time, also. Now I think I pay $4.99 a month or something and the only thing we've watched was the first 3 or 4 episodes of Poker Face. If they would have stayed with the gambling theme from the first episode, I feel like it might have had a chance to go somewhere. After a couple more episodes, they lost both the wife and me. Maybe you haven't had it long enough to get to the pay wall. That, or your just special.
  16. People in rural areas like me don't get quality streaming from our internet. Rural covers a very big area of this country. There are issues with buffering, frozen screens and limited data on internet plans. There will be a large percentage of skippage by consumers. And how many actual Peacock users are there? People aren't going to buy Peacock just for a playoff game. It's like NFL is purposely trying to figure out which bad idea sends people over the edge and give up on their product permanently.
  17. Bookends. Interesting. I like it.
  18. I disagree about the Bulls. They were fun to watch when they won. It's the losing that wasn't fun. Unfortunately, they lost more than they won. And you are correct that they are mired in a situation where they will be worse before they get better.
  19. Been paying more attention to the Bulls the last few seasons. Might be time to watch these kids develop and turn this team into another dynasty. Looking forward to it. Could we soon get to a point where all 4 Chicago teams are worth watching all at the same time?
  20. Watching Hosmer fumble that grounder last night drives me crazy. There are so many people that still think he has something to offer and I don't see it. This can be a playoff team, but apparently they'd rather have Iowa make playoffs instead. Dude hasn't won a gold glove since 2017 and isn't winning another one. Bring up the guys who are proving they belong here. What happened to rewarding production?
  21. If they sign/trade for 2 DE's, I'll be pretty happy with this roster. I feel like Walker, Robinson and Gipson are all decent enough as rotational backup DE's. But, they still need two starters. I'd be fine with an older dude since there are guys who can rotate in and out to keep everyone rested. There are several options just sitting there waiting to be picked up. Some may be possibly hoping for a SB contender to nab them, but the Bears have money to spend and should spark interest with playing time available. It's a long time until the next draft, but if Fields proves to be "the guy", I feel like the Bears can be in a great place going into the next draft.
  22. Eagles have now drafted Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Kelee Ringo, and then traded for D'Andre Swift, all products of the University of Georgia.
  23. The Bears have clearly made a few trades now, but I'll be damned if I know any details.
  24. Seems small for that role. Between size and speed, he seems more like a better fit as a DE. But, I'm no expert on the subject.
  25. Do the Bears draft a C? Do they still have Kramer on the roster? If so, they have 3 Centers already. Whitehair, Patrick and Kramer. Not sure why he dropped so far, but there is a need at DE, and it would make sense to grab Adebawore with the first pick in the 4th. Wasn't Dawand Jones high on Poles OT list? He's still there and might be an upgrade over Braxton Jones, even if they are enamored with B. Jones. Gotta figure there are still holes at DE and might want to get more depth at LB, S, WR and RB.
