  1. I absolutely love seeing that final score of the Pitt/NYJ game. Ahh, Aaron Rodgers still loses even with his shiny new toy. It's kind of funny that Adams missed the last several games because of a "hamstring issue", but as soon as he is traded, boom, he's ready to play. I think I saw a graphic in one of the games yesterday between two teams that were both 1-5 that 1-6 is a 0% chance at playoffs and 2-5 is a 6% chance. They really only have 3 super tough games the rest of the way, but I'd be surprised if they came back to make the playoffs.
  2. Maybe not, but it's only a matter of time. I've been watching all of their games. The way Quinn is using him is blatantly stupid. Even after Daniels got hurt, Mariota was playing the same damn way. Now, Mariota has some bulk and seems to be able to take a shot better than Daniels, but why are you scheming plays with your QB being the runner so much, especially in a 37-0 game. Mariota got lucky he didn't need to go to the blue tent a few times. Daniels got hurt on back to back plays where it's hard to even see what got him hurt. He hasn't really been decked the way Justin Fields took hits his first 3 or so years in Chicago. Washington QB's led the team in carries and yardage. And that's not to say the RB's weren't getting it done. Robinson Jr. and McNichols were averaging 6 yards a carry. Ekeler was averaging 4.3. It was the Carolina Panthers and they just hung their QB's out to dry rather than taking the safe route and letting their RB's control the game. Daniels is nothing like Jalen Hurts physically. He's just not built to handle continuous contact from opposing NFL defenses. He's fun to watch, no doubt. But, like RGIII, he won't be here long if they continue using him the way they are.
  3. Comcast is only one entity of many that they don't have agreements with. Xfinity, You Tube TV, Hulu+, I've decided I'm just going to jail break a Fire Stick sign up for a VPN and see what the world has for me that way.
  4. I've always said that you need a QB that can force the defense to back off the pressure. Watching the Broncos game last night, New Orleans was desperate to make things happen defensively, so they kept bringing pressure on Bo Nix. He did an amazing job of making the first wave miss and then either taking off running or finding an open man underneath coverage time and time again. Caleb has also been making the OLine look better by making snap decisions and making those plays successful. Granted, there is still an argument to be made that they are playing much weaker defenses of late. But, he is still just 6 games into his rookie year. He's learning it all on the fly and improving week to week on his decision skills. QB school showed where the OLine is still making dangerous mistakes, but Caleb has done an amazing job covering for those mistakes with plus plays or throwaways. Fields would have been sacked at least 30 times this year with the defensive schemes teams have been bringing.
  5. Caleb doing things even Caleb doesn't know Caleb is doing.
  6. How do we see the OLine shaking out with the returns of Bates and Borom? I don't see how you can continue to roster Davis, so I'm assuming he just gets cut after seeing some much better blocking/teamwork on the line in his absence. Pryor seems to be getting it done at RG. Does Bates jump Shelton or Pryor?
  7. They might as well find a taker for Mike Williams at this point. He's now the #4 receiver behind Adams, Wilson and Lazard, and now he's also Rodgers "under the bus" boy.
  8. What can you really expect from a guy who has missed this much time? Is there a comparison where a guy missed two years and a half years and comes back as good as before he got injured? And in the 5 years he did play, 63 is the most games he's ever played in a season.
  9. freeze warning at my house tonight. Bye bye bye BUGS! I do hate me some stink bugs. They hang out on on my screen doors thinking I will eventually cave and let them in. Well, some of them do find their way in, and my dogs make them spray or do whatever stink bugs do to stink, and then I'm angry again. Any word on the severity of Gordon's injury?
  10. Top offense, one of the best QB's of the week. Lots of good stuff in the last dozen posts. But, I'd like to remind everyone that the Bears had 7 yards after the first quarter. They had one score up to the last few seconds of the first half. I would like to see them stop looking so bad to start the game. 6 plays in a quarter, and the first quarter of a game, is really bad. When they start playing the tougher part of the schedule, they need to be ready on the first series. There's no way they are purposely tanking the first series to lull the defense to sleep, right?
  11. This is without the benefit of late game garbage time. The Bears have either been leading or in close games with a chance to win. Not related, but also being discussed here is the Vikings. They should be getting TJ Hockenson back next week. Jefferson, Addison and Hockenson is a legit receiver room.
  12. And two of them have had byes.
  13. I'm guessing these blackouts are more about the contractual rights moreso than a sold out stadium. But yeah, now that they are limited in their reach, they should waive the restrictions.
  14. I learned last night that I can't watch the Blackhawks on ESPN+ because blackout restrictions are stupid. I can watch them on replay, but it's kind of hard to get excited about watching games you likely already know the outcome.
  15. I think they have another DE coming off of IR soon, also. Martin? They can probably just cut Robinson at this point. Don't see what he offers.
  16. Daniels takes off running a lot. He's basically Lamar Jackson. But, I don't think his body type is built to sustain a lot of hits from Linebackers and Safeties. I see him getting RGIII'd at some point. He's fun to watch, though.
  17. The NE game is right after the trade deadline. They may have traded a few of their play makers by the time the Bears face them.
  18. I feel like most of the preseason predictions I was looking at had the Vikings being not only last place in the division, but possibly among the worst teams in the entire league. How wrong they were.
  19. I can't blame him for only 2 TD's. Two of their TD's were short yardage. He had Rome wide open and didn't throw it on another, and if he hits Kmet on the other side of his body, that one might have been a TD. But, I also feel like they stopped going for the throat about the middle of the 3rd quarter. You could tell they still wanted to run plays and they did keep passing, but they seemed more like TOP pass plays. Control the rock and run out the clock type plays. If Carolina was keeping up on the scoreboard, I think Caleb could have cleared 400 yards easily in that game. Carolina had no answers for him. He was hitting everyone.
  20. What else do you call a QB on his 4th team in 7 years? He signed on with Tampa for $4m. He was hardly even wanted. Sure, he's had better success, but I'm not sure how you can call him anything other than a reclamation project. Cleveland has quite possibly a worse QB history than the Bears. Although, I would have taken Brian Sipe over any Bears QB not named Caleb Williams. Overall, I would agree that he shouldn't be called a reclamation project. Cleveland never should have given up on him when they did. They should have built a better offense around him.
  21. It's pretty entertaining right now watching Geno Smith and Sam Darnold, along with Baker Mayfield , doing so well on their new teams. Cleveland and Carolina gave up on Mayfield. Carolina gave up on Mayfield and Darnold. The Jets gave up on Geno and Darnold.
  22. It's definitely fine to keep tabs, but I don't see why every thread needs an "I told you so" moment to a bunch of people who pretty much agree with the poster in the first place.
  23. Aren't the partially lowering their head close to impact more of a fumble preventative measure, since lowering your head lowers the rest of your body some and reduces the chances of impact on the football.
  24. I was kinda hoping to see Saleh push Rodgers away at some point after last week's performance. Nice job blaming the coach for the failure that is that team.
  25. I've been reading that a lot of people aren't getting the signal, even after reprogramming/scanning their tv's for the new channels. I've read some get sound, but no video. I've read others saying that the games are very pixelated, grainy and freezes. I'm not trying to discourage you from getting an antenna, but you might want to spend a bit more for one of the better ones. Do your research.
