  1. It's not a problem, Tim. Just drop Pujols and you'll be able to keep McCann.
  2. You have to get some dirt on one of the mods. Great.... now I have to hire a private detective to follow Vance around. The good thing is it should only take a few hours. You're going to pay someone to hang around at Hooters?
  3. That should give you a pretty good idea just how much extra work you create for the mod staff. ;)
  4. Cubs would look like a MASH unit if they added Hudson. Yikes.

    Golf

Go out and lay a golf ball in your yard somewhere close to the hole. Then you can blame someone from the other side of the fence for the hole. ;)
  6. Dusty is getting all of his horses lined up. He needs those dudes who can handle the summer heat. Afterall, Cincy will be playing a lot of day games at Wrigley this summer.
  7. You beat me to it. That's the first thing I thought of when I read the thread title.
  8. If they hadn't signed Miles, they most certainly could have offered Wiggington that many at bats. Between platooning with Fontenot at 2nd, spelling Lee, Ramirez, Soriano and Bradley, he could have had plenty of playing time. That's not including being the main PH off the bench. Hendry didn't want anything to do with him because he hits right handed.
  9. If one year at 8m meant Abreu could be signed and Peavy could be traded for, I'd take Abreu in a New York minute over Milton Bradley and his potential 3 year deal.
  10. If they hold on to him, I still say they are the best team in the NL. They don't have the starting pitching Billingnsley-Ace potential but young Kershaw- Unproven at ML level, wasn't great last year in his time Kuroda- solid 2/3, 2nd year in the majors will teams get a book on him or will he remain effective? ? ? Sophomore slump time for Kuroda and Kershaw.
  11. Juan must be trying out some new toys.
  12. And I'm interested in Angelina Jolie. And I have about the same chances of acquiring her as the Cubs do of acquiring Peavy. Your table is ready, Mr. Pitt.
  13. I think the target date is March 8th, not the 22nd.
  14. There is a Cubs roster discussion thread in the Cubs Discussion forum.
  15. Pretty sure Griffey signed as a FA with Cincy No. I believe Griffey and Cincy agreed to rework his contract so that much of it was deferred to fit into Cincy's budget.
  16. March 21-22 might be available for me. I have to see what weekend we are going up to Solvang. I want to say it's March 28-29. I'm in Vegas Wednesday through Monday of March 11-16. I think I could be free after 5pm on March 8th. The more I think about it, the more the evening of the 8th seems to work for me. Double check that Brian as that would allow Adam to be there too. I am pretty sure I am around that weekend because we're going to Sorensen's the weekend before. I'm running a 135 player pool tournament that weekend, but I think I can schedule it where I run a little bit later on Saturday night and start a little bit earlier on Sunday morning, so that I finish in time to make the draft. 5pm is probably the earliest I could get home, though.

  18. Is anyone opposed to a weeknight? How about pushing the 3/18 date back by 3 hours or so? East Coast: 7pm Central: 6pm West: 4pm
  19. It's pretty sad that guys like Paul Bako and Brad Ausmus can still have major league jobs in their late 30's.
  20. I'd fall over laughing if Hendry traded Hill for anyone of Batista, Silva or Washburn.
  21. I'm probably going to miss it if it falls on the weekend. March is busy for me. I think the only weekends I have free until April are February 28-29 and possibly March 21-22, and the second one is the weekend Adam can't be there. There could still be a bunch of free agents available on February 28-29. I'll just have to be very cautious with my auto draft, I guess. A weeknight would definitely be better for me.
  22. I like that. I'll send my proposal to Bud Selig, who will probably use it to start a fire or wipe his butt.
  23. Yeah, I was the same way. There were several moments that I just had to chuckle at the choices, but Twisted Sister at #17 was the clincher.
  24. Reminds me of the classic and underrated, "Real Genius": "Ok, lets just take a step fwd. Now take a step back. Now take a step fwd., and back....and now we cha-cha!!" Real Genius is awesome!!! Did you know the singer is the lead singer from the band Survivor? Someone watched the VH1 Top 100 Rock songs. :D After watching that, I felt quite ill. Their top 100 was missing about 80 songs that are in my top 100. That's all.
  25. This. Hey Jim, We get it. You used to work for Andy MacPhail. That doesn't mean every trade has to be with him.
