Aaron Miles is unfortunately still part of the organization. Anyway, this is really stupid. I can see LaRussa sending Barton back to Cleveland because Juan guesses right on two fastballs off a fringe reliever. I'm starting to get the sense that they have delusions of contention.

Michael Bradley with a goal and assist this weekend. Highlights. Any thoughts on the US-Sweden C squad match up? Nothing earthshattering happened. Landon Donovan looked like the best player on the field when he had the ball at his feet and it is a shame he isn't in Europe right now. I've come full circle on him and despite my anger from last summer, I am back to thinking that Landon could play with almost any team on earth and hold his own. Jozy Altidore played the second half and drew the penalty for the second goal. He didn't get a chance to do much but I was certainly impressed that he was too physical for even the gigantic Swedish defenders to handle. Guzan was awesome and Celtic scouts were in attendance. He goes for his tryout next week. He is going to give Howard a run for his money in qualifying. Where? Unsure. I'd bet maybe Boston or Chicago, though. nsbb chicago meet-up if its in chicago? i'm in. i will be at any usmnt game in chicago. It's in Spain.

I think he is another transfer away from getting a shot with a big club. Hamburg, Everton and Rovers are a good choice. He has stated in the past that Milan is his dream destination. Wherever he goes, he needs to play. The way he has improved since going to Holland and playing major minutes is amazing.

According to World Soccer daily, the Maccabi Tel Aviv deal fell through for Feilhaber as they couldn't meet Derby's transfer standard. There remains heavy MLS interest in a loan for Benny. That's disappointing, but I just want him to play.

I am excited to see him want to raise his level of play in the best league in the world. I feel I should warn you though. Ives' article says you are going to pay more for him than you paid for Deuce. I feel this would be a bad move and hope you understand what you are getting into. Eddie will give you all boners with his speed and athletic ability, but his timidity and penchant for disappearing against physical defending make him all but a lock to fail miserably in England. In Deuce you had a still developing, creative and dynamic player who works incredibly hard and always gives it his all. In Eddie, well, you have the opposite of that. I hope it works out for all involved, I just don't think it will. Thanks, Wolf PS, good luck next year in the Championship, but plz don't scapegoat the Americans on your team as Clint and Boca are two of the few premiership quality players on your squad. PPS, if you want to sign some American that will actually help you, sign Michael Parkhurst and Michael Bradley.

John Dewan really likes Glaus defensively, iirc. I'll take his word for it, since it is his life. Well, yeah. Health is a factor in any trade, and, yeah, if they put up "similar numbers" it's an even trade. I don't understand if you are saying anything here. It's like saying that if I drink a whole can of soda, the can will then be empty. Not to mention his number two gripe in Philly was playing on concrete turf. His back is going to have a good time with that again. Basically it comes down to unloading a cancer and getting a player who they think is a better bet to be healthy going forward. Glaus' injuries appear to be more recurrent while Rolen's injuries appear to be more debilitating on his performance. It's a good trade for the Cardinals from where I'm looking at it. Then again, I am neither privy to the true nature of the Cardinals club house mood nor am I a doctor.

Liverpool now appear to be in some sort of talks with Klinsmann too. Tom Hicks admits I thought the deal was already done at Bayern...I don't like this.

I for one could not give two craps about Twellman's development. This isn't a Landon Donovan situation where he could take his game to the next level by playing in the soda league. He is one player I'd rather see stay in MLS. He is quality in the league and would do more for US Soccer by staying in MLS and being a good domestic player.
