I think the funniest result would be a Sergino Dest banger and a 1-0. Just the least engaged dude on the pitch all of a sudden putting his defender in the spin cycle and letting it rip and then Matt Turner does the rest.

I would put Weah at striker and Reyna on the wing. Bring in Aaronson to sprint at the them relentlessly at 60 min. But this is also what I’ve always wanted them to do when all the wingers are fit going back like 3-4 years. Gregg never even experimented with it.

Looots of real estate available in that Canadian midfield. I think if Belgium weathers the early adrenaline storm, their possession will unlock that space and turn the game downhill in their direction. Missing that pen could really hurt Canada.

I started an awesome new job a month ago, and felt it was just too early to take PTO. My mistake. Second half everyone except Tyler was trash. Tyler is indisputably our best player right now. I expect a big transfer in his future. Also, I should be allowed to smoke heaters anywhere I want during MNT World Cup games. I don’t even smoke, but I need something to do with my hands and nerves & should be allowed.

Has to be said: I hate the World Cup. Too many emotions to contain when 95% of the people around you don’t even know it’s happening, why you’re worked up, and you have to do normal things like your job. Every four years the office I watch in may get a little larger and a little more private, but I am still barely able to act like a normal person while the US is playing. Literally the only thing worse than the World Cup is your team not making the World Cup.
