    Its really aggravating how this whole "rap music is to blame" bullcrap is coming to the forefront again. I agree, but at least the discussion needs to occur. Is music/vedio games a cause or an effect? I think music is reflection of a culture not the cause of the culture's ills. Mysoginy is part of our culture and has been for a long time. Or are they both? Could they be a reaction to the culture which in turn reacts to it?

    a baseball clubhouse is not really comparable to an office-setting. drinking in the clubhouse is not the problem, it's alcoholism in general. they might as well just ban drinking in general for all the good this will accomplish. Alcoholism isn't the reason people drink and drive. The problem is drinking in a setting in which you are pretty certain to be driving afterward. It's like suburban strip mall bars. Providing beers in a home clubhouse pretty much ensures somebody will be driving home under the influence. And if the team provides beer, then allows the guy to drink and drive, and the guy kills somebody because he was drunk, the team could be held liable. We have a winner!

    My concern actually was born of the fact that a) I had not seen him post much lately and I appreciate having an insider posting here to keep the wild speculation down to a dull roar and 2) when I clicked on his name on the Daily Herald website, they only brought up a few columns, little that is recent and nothing for the month of April. I was concerned that something had happened that I was not privy to. So, to quote Steve Martin,... Excuuuuuuuuuse Meeeeee!
