  2. Which would be a three run homer. Don't make me pull out my tempting the Gods routine.
  3. I think Pat said two batters would have to get on for AP to bat.
  4. Hey folks. I just started listening to the game on WGN. Has anyone who has been listening to the whole game heard Pat and/or Ron mention flowers from the flower lady? My sister is the flower lady and she is wondering. Thanks.
  5. I was under the impression that the use of aluminum bats financially benefited the teams/schools/after-school programs that use them because of their durability, not the batsmakers.
  6. Whew. I was starting to think Dunn's press agent had fallen asleep at the switch.
  7. I don't know why coaches and umpires in the field don't wear helmets. The runners have to. It certainly seems reasonable.
  8. Statements like this are part of the reason why people were making a big deal about Bonds getting a few extra strikes called.
  9. <"Now batting for the Cubs, Jake Fox."> YAAAAY!! <"Fox grounds into DP to end the inning."> BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! You're a bum!"

  12. Why the hell did he run the bases then? Wow, this coming from a fan of a team that has seen the likes of Kerry Wood, Mark Prior and Nomar Garciaparra play for them in the last 3 years, but Cliff Floyd is the most injury prone player I've ever seen. Yeah...Moises and Rondell White have to be in that discussion too. Maybe JD Drew? And one Mr. Ken Griffey Jr. When did JD Drew or Ken Griffey play for the Cubs? I'm from the future.

  20. The decision to give Rami the day off had already been made prior to yesterday's game. It's not like there's some rule that says you have to stick by such decisions. You have to adapt to what else is going on. I agree 100%. Screw the future health of our all star third baseman. Todays game will decide the penant. Don't forget, every loss and every win is equal. The losses in April, those killed us.
