    No, thanks. I'd rather struggle 4 weeks from now. That would mean that we made the playoffs. Struggling now is very possibly leading us toward the most horrifying collapse in sports history. I'd like to, you know, avoid that.

    I think Aram not having hit the ball since his GS against the Phillies has played a large part in this scoreless streak. And having a number three hitter who makes Bill Buckner look like Barry Bonds.

    The Cubs are up 69-0 with 2 outs bottom of the 9th up 3-0 game wise and an 0-2 count on the hitter. He hits a flare for a single and 1000's scream uh oh, here comes the heartbreak, they're going to choke this one away. Wood is losing it. Better get Howry up.

    Considering defensive position and salary, Theriot is far more valuable than Lee right now. How about Derrek Hundley? Derrek J. Jones?

    You say it's secretive but team's can only disclose as much info as the player will allow; which is part of the reason why Lou told the reporters to go ask Z directly about his situation. The rules on this have gotten significantly more stringent in recent seasons. Thank you for this excellent post.

    I'm not able to watch the game. Just by listening to Pat and Ron it doesn't sound like he's pitching that poorly, but is he hanging a lot of stuff? His stuff is noticeably worse than it has been.
