  1. Cubs-season-ending run on first for the Brewers.
  2. Jerry Hairston sucks like few others in baseball history.
  3. Our season may very well rest in the hands of Jerry Hairston, Jr. God help us all.
  4. Absolutely brutal. Painful. So very painful.
  5. I know. He's probably going to break his leg walking out to LF in the bottom of the 1st. You(r posts) are so stupid. I wonder what it says about you that you take them seriously.
  6. Soriano overmatched by Lohse. Very, very bad omen.
  7. At the expense of what else though? There's no real downside. Correct. There are several spots being occupied by essentially zero-value guys who can be jettisoned with no heartburn whatsoever.
  8. This was never anything to worry about. Don't you guys know that Bush programs his hurricane-generating machine to make sure that only New Orleans gets hit and Houston and his Big Oil buddies never get hit? I mean, really, get with the program.
  9. Would Lieber be released to free up a spot on the 40-man roster?
  10. And replace him with? Soriano You can't do that. He'd hop on every throw to first and every runner would be safe.
  11. Kyle Lohse looks a little bit like The Rock on dope.
  12. Let's see. Mark DeRosa is a very good hitter and a tremendous defensive 3B + Mike Fontenot is a very good hitter and a competent defensive 2B = Casey McGehee should never play again
  13. He's Brucerrific!
  14. Cameron-Counsell-Kendall due.
  15. I thought Brandon Phillips was supposed to be good.
  16. I love the Brewer bullpen!
  17. We're going to have to play much better to even come in with a 7-12 finish. I know you're positively giddy right now, but why are our last 19 games going to be played at the level of our last 8? If that's the way things worked, wouldn't we have dominated these last 8 games considering we were hot heading into those? We're 8-8 our last 16, why aren't we going to keep up that pace? Better yet, we're 86-57 over our last 143 games, why not play at that pace? Dont you love how certain Cub "fans" only show up when things are going badly. JeffH was nowhere around this board, posting all his nonsense for the past 3 months, but let the Cubs lose 6 games in a row.....Hes right back here firing away... What is there to say when they play well? Just enjoy it. I only get angry and complain when they play poorly.
  18. We're going to have to play much better to even come in with a 7-12 finish.
  19. If that were the case, why would Lou have Harden in the rotation the rest of the way? You might want to hold off on that argument until Harden, you know, pitches again.
  20. Mr. Miles is reporting the same potential, if unlikely to be needed, NLDS rotation. The reason that Harden is not mentioned may very well be that his arm is cooked and he's done for the season.
  21. Of course, when we finish up 3-16, they won't need to.
  22. Did his steroids suffer an injury?
  23. Cubs and Brewers each finish the season 4-18. Astros win the Central. Phillies win the Wild Card.
