  1. So who wants to go "troll" the Saints thread?
  2. I can't see him making it to the Bears' pick. I cant see him making it to pick #15. We have to trade up to about 10-13 to have a shot, and I don't see Angelo trading up.
  3. Amen. Part of the fun of sports is the ability to talk trash with other fans (without being a total ass). I'm confident the Bears will do a good job shutting up you Saints fans on Sunday.
  4. Nice win over the Spurs without Wallace and Duhon. Big games for Hinrich, Nocioni off the bench, and Tyrus.
  5. I think it's funny I keep hearing and reading the Bears are in trouble this week because they have not been that good since early in the season, but we hear nothing about the Siants going 5-5 in their last 10 regular season games. People say the Bears schedule was weak, but both the Bears and Saints played 4 games against playoff teams and both the Bears and Saints won 3 of 4.
  6. Maybe they intended on saying in the AL, not in the majors.
  7. For the most part I agree with what you wrote, but if Moose and Berrian can't catch passess 6 inches from where they should be thrown, that is their fault not Grossman's. Also, Manning was starting before Brown went down.
  8. . Agreed. Except for the easy TD he dropped.
  9. Saints offense is ranked higher than the Bears defense and the Saints D is ranked higher than the Bears offense. The weather is going to be the toughest thing for the Saints in my opinion. The Bears D is better than the Saints D, and the Bears offense outscored the Saints offense this season. The Bears are going to be the toughest thing for the Saints to deal with, not the weather.
  10. Aren't they ripping off the "Who Dey?" of last year's Bengals? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The Bengals are the ones who ripped it off. "Who Dat?" comes from a song that came out in 1981 called "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?" The 1981 Saints went 4-12. I think everybody said they would beat the Saints. that's kinda the point, it's a joke. So it's kinda like "A Dying Cubs Fan's last request"? It's still odd how they took something that was intended as self-depreciating and now use it as a bragging rights song. Doesn't really matter, "Bear Down" is better anyway. On to the game, this will be tough. The Saints can put up a ton of points, and the D isn't as bad as people think. I think/hope good Rex shows up again and the Bears outslug the Saints 31-27.

  12. Ben Gordon obviously should be a career 6th man. He gets a start and only has 15 points so far. I agree he should start, but to be fair Memphis is freaking awful.
  13. Thats not too bad. I'll take it over 8 incehes of snow like some said earlier in the week.
  14. As a Bears fan, I'm also torn on this one. I think we beat either team unless Rex craps the bed. If he does, we could very well lose to either team. I think the Saints are better than Philly, so I guess I'll cautiously root for the Eagles. Ever since I rooted for the Marlins to beat the Giants in 2003, I try to avoid rooting for certain opponents.
  15. sounds like another big ten defense-first brickfest From what I have seen, it is exactly that.
  16. Great finish to the half by Northwestern and they lead #4 UW 26-24 at the half. I'd guess UW still wins by 10+, but if there was any doubt how hard it is to win on the road in the Big Ten, there you go. NU has no business playing ahead of UW for 20 minutes.
  17. PSU played a lot of zone, taking away the inside game. IU took the right approach and burned them from three point range. Solid win for the Hoosiers. Any Big Ten road win is nice, and PSU is not going to beat some decent teams in Happy Valley this year. The progress this team has made under Sampson from November to now is very impressive. Fixed. Penn State blows. PSU has some talent, and they will win some games over teams better than them at home. The announcer said during the broadcast the home team wins 80% of the time in Big Ten games. To win by 10 on the road in conference was a nice win for IU.

  19. "You guys are going to killed like 2001" Way more lacking in orginality than that. I'm gonna guess "Rex Grossman sucks!" Don't worry, you'll have the last laugh.
  20. This is also from rotoworld. I hope.assume this is a typo. They mean Royals, not Cubs, right? Alex Gonzalez-1B-Royals Jan. 12 - 4:20 pm et Cubs signed infielder Alex S. Gonzalez to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training. Gonzalez, 33, announced his retirement last May after starting out 4-for-36 with the Phillies. It's not much of a surprise to see him back, and he joined the one team he could potentially start for, though the Royals are certain to give Angel Berroa one more chance to keep his job.
  21. He had to get permission from his gf to go to a Bears playoff game? Weak.
  22. I wouldn't do Gordon + the #1 for JO. Gordon has developed into an elite scorer as the season has progressed and the #1 pick should be a top 7 pick in what is potentially a draft as strong as the LeBron draft. I woulod offer PJ Brown (for his salary), Nocioni, and a 2009 first round pick for JO. G - Duhon G - Hinrich F - Deng F - JO C - Wallace G - Gordon
