  1. We only win the wildcard with this team if everything works out our way. This season and last should have amply demonstrated how poor of a strategy that is.
  2. I don't think I would give up anything for him at all.
  3. But that's still secondary to not making an out. Dunn is good at not making an out.
  4. Not nearly as much as his .384 OBP and .550 SLG matter.
  5. Where did that come from? I think playing in the heat, mebbe.
  6. Batting Average on Balls In Play. lol kekekekeke ^_^ OML, wat a newb!
  7. That's an unfair mischaracterization of Tim's posts in this thread. He called him one of the top offensive outfielders.
  8. Anyone know Lee's BABIP? I'm curious about how lucky he's been this season.
  9. Actually, I was responding to this statement that you made: You berated IMB for assuming that you thought wins were an effective metric, so I then assumed that you thought they weren't.
  10. How are they another piece of evidence if they aren't an effective metric? You know, I've taken statistical analysis classes and I never saw the chapter on why wins were a useful stat for measuring pitcher ability. Maybe I was gone on those days?
  11. When I search for a post and display the results as posts, clicking the link to that post produces an error.
  12. By the way, I recalled the phrase being banned myself, and a quick search found this post by Tim in the Bad Managerial Decisions thread. It was on page 32 for me, but may appear on a different page depending on your settings. Here's a thought: maybe this should be added to the Member Guidlines thread in the FAQ board?
  13. Well, the term ZZ uses most frequently -- almost exclusively, actually -- is Dusty Busters, and he tends to use it with negative descriptors. I recall he once made a sarcastic post along the lines of "Dusty Busters are always honest." People don't like to be negatively profiled like that.
  14. No, Glendon is simply better suited to start than he is to relieve. He was last year, too.
  15. The important thing about Murton's game, at least in my opinion, is that it proved he isn't totally overmatched at the big league level. He won't give you that performance every time, but he can probably provide at least average production, which is also about as much as you could expect from Hollandsworth.
  16. Is this supposed to be satirical?
  17. Is Greenberg lefthanded or righthanded? Dusty may not want to lose Jose's versatility off the bench.
  18. I don't think he understands what Dusty is looking for in a player. He's lucky Carlos and Jerry were there to pick up his slack!
  19. Yeah, I would rather have Holla, too.
  20. No one had to come off the 40 man, there were already spaces available.
  21. At least he got the first three right, tonight.
  22. My first question about the lineup is why is Neifi so high?
  23. I realize I'm a bit late with this, but I don't think this is any sort of signal that Dusty is about to be fired. These weren't Dusty's boys they got rid of, they were players Dusty didn't seem to like.
