  1. Hey! Cubs mentioned during post season baseball not mentioning Bartman!! Apparently we have a hole at SS... :D (i'm surprised they said we have a hole (when talking about what will happen to Furcal) when we have the possiblity of Nomar, Cedeno & gulp Neifi)
  2. there's the real Hudson!
  3. that bunt by Francouer was incredible too bad it didn't do any good.
  4. wow a questionable call by Cox to play Jordan, and he goes out and makes a HUGE catch.
  5. i'm rooting for the Braves to win it all.
  6. Isn't Dick Pole supposed to be one of the best pitching coaches out there?? (so of course the cubs use him as bench coach)
  7. that's what I wonder about, if the cubs do ever win a World Series what kind of banner or whatever will they get. Just stick another 20XX flag up on the roof top??
  8. Dusty for Eric Gagne's rosin bag & Derrek Lowe's killer stool plz!!
  9. I think Hendry ican still be an asset to the team, but I'm not sure if he should be the one in complete charge. Hendry does some things very well and some things terrible. He's helped make the farm system at least respectable. He's pulled off some great trades every year in charge 2003 - Aram & Lofton off-season - Derrek Lee, Michael Barrett. 2004 - Nomar & Murton (he may have lucked into that) 2005 - got two first rounders in Williams and Aardsma for an ineffective Hawkins. BUT He is responsible for Dusty, and he has left glaring holes that even we could see in the past 2 years.
  10. i'm in
  11. Isn't he making 18 this season, I can't see him taking a paycut after one of/if not his best season of his career.
  12. at least Murton is moving up.... ahhh eff it.
  13. in 2003 making the playoffs Baker was surprised and said that it was supposed to be a work to become competive, and that he would probably need the entire 4 years to get to contending for the World Series. Dusty Baker is running his regime in reverse year 1 - 5 outs from the world series uprgade at several positions year 2 - "just missing" the postseason get rid of 'malcontents' year 3 - hover around .500 who wants to see what kind of disaster year 4 will be?
  14. starting Monday every day Baker is still the manager, the less I care....
  15. yay! an 0-2 pitch
  16. murton crushes one just inside the park
  17. I don't know I could get pretty fired up about that ;) This is my ideal 2006, but i'm not set at RF/LF - this is only using FA signings, so if we could trade up at either of those positions that would be great. I'm not really for or against trading Walker if it can net us a stud corner outfielder go for it and hope Cedeno can handle 2nd. (also Walker would bat 2nd) Furcal SS Murton LF Lee 1B Giles RF Ramirez 3B Barrett C Cedeno/Walker 2B Patterson/Hairston CF
  18. or go to the bullpen
  19. ok so all the cubs have to do is find a future hall of fame 2nd baseman while adressing all their other needs.
  20. bat him leadoff too!!!!!
  21. i bet they intentionally loaded the bases to get to the gremlin ;)
  22. Murton walks again glad he's down there at thebottom of the order.
  23. Murton would make a great 2-hole hitter :x
