  1. And then Peoria Javelinas drops a 6 spot in the top of the 10th
  2. Save 20% on Cubs stuff, and help out NSBB at the same time
  3. must be raining in AZ. game is postponed.
  4. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/expertsarchive;_ylt=As3AG0TpvHpVxbwBgGazSjsRvLYF?author=Ryne+Sandberg Sandberg says to root for the Sox, BRING DOWN HIS NUMBER !!!!!!! ;)
  5. White Sox... Frank Thomas deserves a ring Cardinals... Larry Walker deserves a ring Astros... Bagwell/Biggio deserves a ring
  6. i hope da gooz has a better outing than last time.
  7. Who are you rooting for? no one.
  8. 10/17 Box Aardsma threw 3 scoreless innings, scattering 4 hits and 2 walks as well.
  9. Just curious has Hoops been right in his trade threads in the two years since Choi/Lee?
  10. What i meant was Win (the sox win... I don't care) / Win (the sox lose... I don't care but that's good because i like the cubs). (maybe I should take the sox picture out of my sig, i think it's giving the wrong impression )
  11. Isn't that the very definition of a bandwagon fan? Not really since i'm not going to celebrate if the Sox win or anythign and buy hats and shirts or even really care. I'm just not going to be terribly upset if they win. You know.. if they win good for them, i'm not going to cry and think about how horrible it is.
  12. Oh I agree there is a rivalry, and I don't think that just because they are from Chicago is any reason to root for them. But me personally I don't dislike like them just because I'm suppose to, my official stance is if they win great, if they lose great. I put myself in a win win instead of a lose lose situation.
  13. Because to some of us the White Sox aren't a rival, to some of us they are the equivalent of the Baltimore Orioles. Because to some of us oh say maybe the CARDINALS and the ASTROS are our real rivals. There is a rivalry to me 6 times a year. I have Cubs fans friends and I have Sox fans friends and we're civil, some Sox fans are annoying and guess what we as Cubs fans are annoying to but that's pro sports.
  14. that pretty much sums up my feelings (right down to me being 20 years old).
  15. Things don't always regress to the mean over 162 games. There's a reason the White Sox tanked hard at the end of the season, and that's because their pitching regressed to the mean. Fortunately for them, they had built up enough of a lead to make the playoffs, and once in the playoffs it's a crapshoot. Is 4 consecutive complete game victories the mean ?????
  16. wow Vlad, this would be whole different series if he was hitting the ball.
  17. look like the Cardinals are in World Series form 1 series to soon
  18. light day for cubs 10/15 box 7.) B. Coats (SS) 1-3 BB K (AFL BA - .444) RP - J. Koronka IP K S(2) (AFL ERA - 0.00 (6IP))
  19. 10/14 BOX While Mesa pounds Peo Saguaros 16-4, Cubs prospects fail to make much noise. 1.) E. Patterson (2B) 1-6, 2R, 2K (.208 AFL BA) 5.) M. Murton (LF) 1-4, RBI (.500 AFL BA) 6.) B. Sing (DH) 1-5, 2RBI, K (.368 AFL BA)
  20. Patterson, Murton & Sing are a combined 0-9 so far today :(
  21. What I like from what I read from/about Pie, he wants to win and he wants to be one of the best ever. So if had a season like Patterson just had, do you think he would "contemplate" winter ball as Patterson is... I think not he's going to bust his 'butt'.
  22. 10/13 BOX M. Murton (DH) - 2-4, 2RBI (2) - .556 AFL BA B. Sing (1B) - 1-3, HR (1), 2RBI (3), BB (4), K (4) - .429 AFL BA J. Koronka (RP) - 1.0 IP, H, K, S (1) - 0.00 AFL ERA (5IP) -------------------- Murton can still hit, and interesting to see Koronka possibily getting some trade value for someones pen picking up the save today.
  23. Just wondering if this reminded anyone else of Game 5 2003 NLDS when Kenny Lofton CLEARLY made a sliding catch in CF but all the umps said that it bounced in ... sure glad that didn't cost us the game/series.
  24. Daunte Culpepper (vs. The Bears) or Eli Manning ??
