Eddy in your sig? Even if he remains a Bull after the failed physical, that's an interesting selection. :P it's connected to Kirk, Gordon & chandler... I'm looking for something better.
Yeah but when things didn't work out they moved on, and made the postseason mostly do to these guys. And these are the players that beat Clemens. It's just the fact that they can field a team completly of players from their system. Not many teams can do that... and have it be a playoff game winning team is just remarkable.
I think this speaks for itself... look at last nights lineup P - Smoltz (traded for as a prospect) C - McCann (homegrown) 1B - Laroche (homegrown) 2B - Giles (homegrown) 3B - Jones (homegrown) SS - Furcal (homegrown) LF - Langerhans (homegrown) CF - Jones (homegrown) RF - Francouer (homegrown) Every single player in the starting lineup has played every single inning of their major league career as a Brave. incredible.
I didn't mean to start a fight between chicagoans and Iowans, I spend a ton of time in Iowa as my entire family lives there and that is usually the more rural/farm areas.
Interesting, that game was on FOX too. Are you sure? i'm pretty sure i saw the replay on ESPN classic not to long ago and it was Morgan & Miller calling the game.
Just like it was nearly impossible for the Yankees to lose the ALCS? I bet a trip back to Fenway will revitalize the BoSox. only problem is the the Red Sox had a MUCH better pitch staff last year, and the White Sox have a MUCH better pitching staff than the Yankees had last year.
how freakin' lame Pierzynski just grounded out with 0 outs and a guy at 2nd and moved the guy over to 3rd in a 4-1 game. He's rounded first clapping his hands as though he had just drove in a big run or something. moving the guy over is great and all, but don't pat yourself on the back as if you've just done something great.
