That's more than a little hyperbolic. Taj's PER was 16.1; Noah's was 15.3. Jo's shooting dipped, but his rebounding remains solid and is better than Taj's (17.1% to 12.7%; Nikola had a higher rebounding % than Taj as well). Noah also remains an excellent ball handler and distributor (23% assist percentage; Taj's isn't even worth noting) and a good defender (3.1 DWS to Taj's 2.1). Taj's OWS was 2.7 to Noah's 2.4. Both were banged up much of the season; they are the same age. Assuming they recover their health by resting and rehabbing during the offseason they can still be important pieces of the team next season. That said, Nikola probably needs to get more minutes and he isn't a good enough defender to play against SF's (his defense against PF's is only slightly better). Taj is the more likely trade candidate as such, IMO. Where should we look to deal him? A guy like Taj is probably best suited for a team on the cusp of something special and/or that already has serious scoring up front. He can concentrate on defense and rebounding, especially on the offensive end, which will loosen things up considerably for whoever the stud big man is. A few teams that come to mind: New Orleans (Davis), Sacramento (Cousins), and the Lakers (they are getting either Townes or Okafor and already have Randle; add Taj and you have a very good big man rotation, plus a veteran to tutor the young guys).
