  1. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/05/18/bernstein-derrick-rosejimmy-butler-tension-marred-game-6/ Although, I would consider this with a grain of salt seeing how it's Bernstein citing his imaginary sources yet again. The source may be bs, but it would not surprise me to see the FO go with a very "people person" coach for the job. Contrasted with Thibs tough demeanor and elite basketball mind. That can work if the assistants are very good. See: Jackson, Phil (Bach-Winter-Cleamons); Rivers, Doc (Thibs-Ray-Eastman-Hill).
  2. That's more than a little hyperbolic. Taj's PER was 16.1; Noah's was 15.3. Jo's shooting dipped, but his rebounding remains solid and is better than Taj's (17.1% to 12.7%; Nikola had a higher rebounding % than Taj as well). Noah also remains an excellent ball handler and distributor (23% assist percentage; Taj's isn't even worth noting) and a good defender (3.1 DWS to Taj's 2.1). Taj's OWS was 2.7 to Noah's 2.4. Both were banged up much of the season; they are the same age. Assuming they recover their health by resting and rehabbing during the offseason they can still be important pieces of the team next season. That said, Nikola probably needs to get more minutes and he isn't a good enough defender to play against SF's (his defense against PF's is only slightly better). Taj is the more likely trade candidate as such, IMO. Where should we look to deal him? A guy like Taj is probably best suited for a team on the cusp of something special and/or that already has serious scoring up front. He can concentrate on defense and rebounding, especially on the offensive end, which will loosen things up considerably for whoever the stud big man is. A few teams that come to mind: New Orleans (Davis), Sacramento (Cousins), and the Lakers (they are getting either Townes or Okafor and already have Randle; add Taj and you have a very good big man rotation, plus a veteran to tutor the young guys).
  3. 2017 starting OF: Schwarber-McKinney-Soler http://media0.giphy.com/media/VLwYmTMsPcjAI/giphy.gif
  4. Collins also makes sense when he talks. JVG should take note.
  5. Weird, Thibs just tweeted this pic:
  6. The team is plenty talented. The offensive approach is also plenty limited. And the coach falls in love with the worst players on his roster.
  7. Bulls have two plays on offense - clear out for Rose/Butler (some times Brooks) and the high pick and roll (except that the bigs dont always roll). Thats it. Watch the other three guys on the curt - they stand around.

  9. Why does anyone give two shits about whether he is funny when he's playing at a freaking 5 WAR pace?
  10. To the opposite field to boot
  11. Yeah, Davis is on LeBron's level in terms of production. No doubt.

  13. Refs haven't been good, but that's not the reason we are likely going to lose this game. Have you watched the pick and switch game they are playing? They abused Nikola. I love him, but he was lost defensively. And Webber is right about our offense. We are way too slow to get set up and rely too much on Rose penetrating. Missing Gasol in a big way in the half court.
  14. Kesler has tendency to harass Toews. I'd love to see Cpt. S make him look bad here. Our distinct advantage is on the blue line. Our Top 4 outclasses theirs by miles.
  15. Credit where it is due - nice job last night (though they did hit Rondon kinda hard).
  16. That doesn't surprise me at all, his foot turn completely backwards. I will give him credit, despite that he still tried to knock the puck away. Yeah, I have been rough on Rosey all year, but that was fought to watch and I feel badly for him.
  17. More rest time the better, particularly for the blue liners. 72 and the Swedes are going to be playing a ton of minutes.
  18. I don't know if Thibs didn't task an extra person with trailing LeBron or if that person fell asleep. Either way, bad job, especially since he was running around close to the inbounding player. I would have doubled LeBron and left the inbounding player alone.
  19. Cool new feature at the top of each team page over at BR: team WAR leaders with pics; hover over each face to see their numbers: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHC/2015.shtml
  20. Nearly lost what shoulda' been an easy one. Rondon has not looked sharp of late; Strop says his fastball is lacking life. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL201505080.shtml
  21. I think we all know a good Christian man like that would never. He keeps the dark skinned players in-line and teaches them how to behave the right way. http://deadspin.com/cardinals-fans-get-ugly-in-clash-with-ferguson-proteste-1643282285
