  1. If Manziel falls they must grab him, if only to have rights to Johnny and Jay at the same time, however briefly.
  2. Update at NFLDraftTek: 1. Donald 2. Ward 3. Stanley Jean-Baptiste (CB - Nebraska) 4. Telvin Smith (LB - FSU) 5. Archer 6. Jonathan Dowling (FS - W. Kentucky) 6. Cassius Marsh (LB - UCLA) This makes much more sense to me than the one from yesterday, though I'd rather grab a DE in the 5th and wait to take a flier on a WR (Devin Street; Shaq Evans) or another corner (Victor Hampton) in the 6th.
  3. NFLDraftTek still has Bears going with Donald then Ward in the 1st and 2nd. After that its pretty interesting: 3. Dri Archer - WR (Kent St) 4. Marcus Roberson - CB (Florida) 5. Max Bullough - LB (Mich St) 6. Denicos Allen - LB (Mich St) 6. Michael Sam I don't love the idea of getting two LB's or a WR that early. I'd grab CB's in the third and sixth, and another DL in the 4th. Sam would be a steal that late in the draft.
  4. Point is that I'm surprised by his power thus far.
  5. Not everyone was down on Castillo. Last year he got better as the year went on. He led the team in WAR last season. Pretty sure anyone that knows anything about baseball knew he had a good year. He led a shitty team in WAR, and in so doing he slugged under .400.
  6. Dude has never come close to slugging .500. I realize its only a month's worth of the season, but its impressive.
  7. Interesting. Is the vibe that Kris pulled-back in the face of how nasty / physical the Stl series was, but now he's being given another chance against a less brutal team?
  8. And the animal pelt over the shoulder puts on another 15. FTW
  9. Depending on how the first round shakes out, I like the idea of moving up in the 2nd to grab another impact defensive player. Guys like Hageman, Crichton, Tuitt and Dee Ford could be there.
  10. Theo and Jed knew something about Welligton we didn't: .286 / .333 / .500 (!)
  11. Yup. Its not enough to just want to recruit, you need a personality that makes you effective in doing so. I respect the hell out of Rose, but he's lacking in the charisma department. Jo's cup runneth over.
  12. Too risky to let Thibs go. I agree that in the long run I'd rather have Wiggins or Parker than Thibs, but there's pretty much no practical way to guarantee that would take place. Pax and Gar need to tuck their tails between their legs, sit down with Thibs and make the peace.
  13. Sulley's right - winning several cups against a truly hard cap in an era where salaries are rising (albeit slower than in other sports) would be quite a feat.
  14. Refs are awful, but I wish there were a way to click an option that makes us more aggressive on offense. We are a puck possession team being outshot 28-11 . Yeesh.
  15. Tired team with little depth playing (some) older legs significant minutes.
  16. Not so far today. Total domination. Gotta get another one. You might be seeing something I am not, but Saad has mishandled almost every puck I have seen him touch this series.
  17. Wow - I know Versteeg hasn't been good, but Saad has been worse.
  18. I'd be willing to bet the owners can force a fellow owner to sell under a "best interests of the Association" type clause.
  19. Or invite him to whatever cult he's joined
  20. That boy is a beast:
  21. I understood why Wood and whomever were pissed at Sammy for the Game 162 incident inasmuch as that was probably the tip of the "animosity iceberg". I'd wager Sammy had an acrimonious relationship with his teammates that went back much farther. Not saying Wood and/or the Cubs handled it the best way possible, just saying. That said, time for everyone to move on. Sammy is pretty freaking scary looking, though.
  22. It was glorious. I just found Pat's call. He's not generally a yeller but he was really into that one. Great call as always. Listening to him reminds me how terrible Kelly is. From a "fan at home" standpoint, Pat's call was an instant classic as it emulated how I felt in the moment and reflected my desire to rub *excrement* in the faces of every Stl fan and player, particularly Steen and Backes.
  23. Pretty soon things won't be so nice No Ice Cube Just Vanilla Ice
  24. Taj has been so good.
