    I don't think he did last Christmas, but I'll have to check the box scores. Actually, it seems to me that weve done a pretty good job keeping him in check this year. Maybe Fred has the stats to see. Sure fat-ass went deep but, it was sweet to see him roll into that 13th inning DP.

    Sure it makes sense but, not with someone who has trouble consistently getting his bat on the ball, let alone bunt. Quite probably the dumbest move Lou has made this year. Of course, a walk off GS does fix those dumb-ass moves today!!!!!!!

    The good news is, Balester is a top 100 ranked prospect and this year is the #3 ranked prospect in the Nationals' system. He's at least a prospect with a lot of talent. And what about that whole never having faced a pitcher therefore, can't touch him thing? Or, does that only happen against the Cubs?

    Well, today the Cubs face a softball pitcher and even though it quite probably won't make a difference I'd still like to see Jake Fox in the lineup. Be at C or 3B, preferably C - if you're not going to score any runs then, what difference does defense make anyway?

    Everyone keeps talking about Ibanez vs. Bradley, I eefing guarantee you, if Ibanez was signed he'd be in the midst of the worst season of his career and the Cubs would be exactly where they are. That's the way it works, it's the Cubs.

    I believe there's little to no chance of that happening, I 'm shooting for the Cubs not being completely out the game by the third. Actually, there is a sizable chance of that happening. Harden's at his best this year in road night games. I think his ERA is 1.5 or something then. EDIT: it's 2.13 I like evening-road Hardens chances against Blanton, whose definded mediocrity throughout his career. If we cant touch Blanton up for some runs, than the Washington series truely was a fluke. Wasn't this the case last night? Heck, Lopez isn't even mediocre, I'm thinking the Washington series was a fluke, I hope not but, that's what I'm thinking.

    I don't see Hester and co. giving Harris and Woodson problems at all this year. And to defend what you are saying, Mike and Mike did a segment I belive every tuesday called "Just Shut Up". I do remember that. You don't believe having a QB who can actually hit a receiver in stride isn't going to make a bit of difference?

    He's hurt. I don't even know why they keep throwing him out there each week at this point. He's going on 5 days rest and thus far, on 5 days rest he's been less terrible than on 4 days rest, don't know if that offers any encouragement.

    We're facing Walter Johnson? That's no good. Especially considering he'd probably pitch every game of the series. :D If it was Walter Johnson you're probably correct but, I don't think that'll be the case with Lannan.

    And, of course, the Cubs face the Senators' ace right out of the shoot. I swear any other team in baseball, most especially the Cardinals, wouldn't have to face Lannan until the last game of the series, if at all. But, seriously, this should be the only game the Cubs may lose.
