Could be. I am just guessing but I think the number is 7. He loses playoff time, so the league does not appear to be lenient. I doubt the league really cares about appearing lenient. Every decision they make seems lenient to someone.

If nothing else, this will force Q to try out some new pairings and maybe he'll find something that works. I think TCI they talked about how Hammer and TVR had good possession numbers together. If they could be paired together for the rest of the season we could see if that's sample bias or a real thing. If it was real, reuniting Marlboro 72 might get Seabrook out of his season long --whatever it is that's made his fancy stats look so bad.

The truth is that no one knows what the DOPS will do. They don't really follow precedent or protocol. His earlier offenses may or may not be used against him. The fact that he got ejected may or may not affect the length of his suspension. Do they ever cut players a deal regarding the appeal on these decisions? With the playoffs looming, they might feel like it's better to give Keith a suspension that he won't appeal (5 games). If the suspension goes into the playoffs, he'll most certainly appeal. That might get a little messy.

He got 5 for elbowing a Sedin. Coyle returned to the game so that might reduce his sentence but My first thought was 5 games. He should get more but unless the NHL deems this to be particularly brutal, I think the playoffs coming up plays a role in the length of the suspension. Either way, idiotic move by Keith. Honestly, other than the result of the victim, is this much different then Marty McSorley's slash that I believe got him arrested? This is a league that gave 10 games (They gave him 20 but reduced it to 10) to a guy that took out a ref with an elbow to the head. The NHL wants the Hawks to make it out of the first round. They can't do that without Keith so he gets the rest of the regular season.

I'm not defending or condoning his actions. From the police report, he sent the naked pics/ video of the woman to the woman. The report made no mention of him sending it to anyone else. I could see where he might not realize that it was a crime to send the pictures/ video to the person that is in the pictures/ video. http://www.wrex.com/link/766075/sycamore-police-report-regarding-accusation-against-ross-warning-graphic-content None of that changes the duechebaggery of the act so much as the ignorance of the crime. He was being a total dick but probably didn't realize that he was committing a felony by doing so. The Hawks ought to release him immediately. The evidence that he did it is pretty straightforward and even if he some beats the rap the Blackhawks don't have to adhere to the standards of a court of law.

Do they even exist there anymore? The place that had them is closed. There were a couple variations too weren't there? Like a sausage patty and brown gravy maybe? And I think they're just referred to as a horseshoe most everywhere else. I think a horseshoe is ham & melted cheese on French toast and that is a Springfield thing. The place in Champaign that had the haystack was Home Stretch Diner or something like that. I used to get them at the Whitehorse Inn but that place is gone.

I can't wait to see him backtrack if he averages like 28 HRs the next 2 years and is less than 20 away from Bonds. But would anyone sign him? By then there's a good chance both leagues will have the DH. That would open more possibilities. Maybe Seattle would bring him back ala the Cubs bringing back Maddux to win his 300th game.

There aren't very many announcers that I like but he was one of them. He probably said a lot of meatbally things back in the Game of the Week days but I was a kid and didn't care.

Yup. IIRC all parties involved decided it wouldn't work at all if they went that direction and changed it to her continuing to be a villain. That ending makes a lot more sense though. If she was really trying to lose why not trade Vaughn, Dorn etal. for prospects that would be ready in a couple years after they had moved the team? Plus, once they started winning enough games to get into contention that would have already voided the clause about moving the team for falling below X attendance level.

Getting Kruger back will help in a lot of these areas. You could make the case that the Kings are a better match up for the Hawks than The Stars or Preds. one of whom they'd have to face in the 2nd round if they finish 3rd. If the Hawks were to face the Kings and won that series, it gives them the winner of the Sha-arks/ Ducks series. I'd take either of those match ups.

The fact that it happens every year doesn't make it suck any less. It feels different this year too. But with the playoff set up the way it is, is it really? Once again, it looks like the Hawks will play the Blues in the 1st round. What will be really interesting to see is if the Kings can secure home ice. That would mean the Stars would get the Preds, whom they might have trouble beating as opposed to the Avalanche. That would be a fun series but the Stars probably win.

I'd agree. I think they had this idea to make the bracket then they realized it was going to be hard to name 64 annoying people that most fans would recognize. Too bad that they forgot that baseball and hockey exist.

Why is Erin Andrews on there at all? I guess these guys are annoyed by sideline reporters. If you're making a list of most annoying people in sports commentary than you have to give more emphasis to the people that are hardest to avoid. A lot of these people are easily avoided by not listening to sports talk radio or watching anything on ESPN. It's pretty hard to avoid Joe Buck or John Kruk unless you watch the game with the volume turned down which just isn't the same.

How is Jim Rome a 16 seed while Erin Andrews is a 5? I didn't see John Kruk or Harold Reynolds. These guys must really hate Around the Horn and PTI. I admit I like Highly Questionable. I don't think any of those guys take themselves too seriously.

I think we'll see the line blender set to puree these last few games. Here's a couple things I'd like to see once Kruger gets back: Ladd-Toews Shaw superpak- I understand the motives for using Kane to get Toews going but this line should always be together. Fleischman- Teuvo- Hossa Desjardins- Kruger- Weise or Fleischman-Toews-Hossa superpak Ladd-Tuevo- Weise Desjardins- Kruger-Shaw
