  1. Don't know if this has already been reported, but the Score says he's probably going to make his decision today.
  2. I'm sure the NFL will heed your concerns. It's not just me: The player's union, the media, fans. Have you not been paying attention?
  3. I'm not saying there was or wasn't anything wrong as I didn't watch any of the game, but if you guys had lost and/or a Bear got hurt because of the field conditions would you still feel that way? huh? jesus, lets just make up a bunch of [expletive] and ask hypothetical questions. yea, that works. I think it's a fair question. Answer it. Would you feel that there was nothing wrong with TCF if the Bears had lost or a player got hurt because of the field conditions? Yes or no. It isn't hard. yea, I would feel there wasn't anything wrong with it. people freaking out over the condition of a field that had to be prepared on short notice for a football game as if they have some major investment in player safety is insane There. That wasn't so hard, was it? Thank you for answering. Like it or not, player safety is going to be a big concern for a long time, especially head-related injuries.
  4. Yup. The next time we lose our season is over.

You're being ridiculously biased right now. The field was crap. The circumstances sucked and they managed to do what they could with what they had, but that was not a good playing surface. We were lucky to have escaped relatively unscathed. That was kinda my point.

  7. I'm not in anyone's head, and if I am, that's pretty bad. All I said was that we'll win week 17, and if that gets anyone's panties in a wad, that's on them, not me. Unless the Packers hand the Bears the game again, right? If you say so, chief.

  10. As have the Cubs. But you're just looking for a fight, and you're not going to get one. I'm not looking for any fight... I just have no idea why one team makes you a chicken little and the other makes you cocky instead of just being rational about both. 4th and 26. Yeah, that sucked. What's your point?

  12. Never. We'll win week 17. How the hell are you just opposite people re: the Packers and Cubs.   Do you really need to ask that? The Packers are good. They've been good for a long time, they have an organizational philosophy based on winning, they have lots of talent, good people making the right calls, and they've won a championship in my lifetime, and there's a very realistic shot at more in the not too distant future. You can say exactly none of those things about the Cubs
  13. Oh. Well yeah, then he's probably out.
  14. Never. We'll win week 17.
  15. Moreland is only under contract for Texas football, correct? I'm sure he could work out some sort of deal where on Texas football days he's with them, and they'll replace him that day in the WGN booth. It's been done plenty of times before for lots of other guys. WGN could do it in a heartbeat if they wanted to. I don't see Texas having a problem with it as long as it doesn't interfere with his duties to them. The only question is if Moreland would want to do it.
  16. What happened to Brett?
  17. Hopefully Brett gets absolutely creamed early and someone takes him off an NFL field for good. I still won't like the Bears, but I'll always like that player for doing that.
  18. Funny how a competent GM can do something like that, eh?
  19. Maybe it's just the jerk in me, but I have absolutely no sympathy for the Vikings and find this whole situation hilarious. It's like if it would happen to the Cardinals.
  20. I believe he was the last living player to have played against Babe Ruth.
  21. Wisconsin fans seem to be very good at supporting teams if they are worth supporting. Is it possible that if the Brewers would make a serious investment into winning that they could become bigger mid market like St Louis? They absolutely could. If they put out a winning team, they'll put butts in the seats, guaranteed.
  22. Thats what I envy about Brewer fans. They dont think World Series, they just want to be good. 2008 was a huge success in their minds, and while we were better tht year, we chalk it up as another big let down. If they make the playoffs this year, they'll consider it a success. Between Sabbathis, Marcum, and now Greinke, over the past 3 years, the Brewers have probably mortgaged their future more than any other team in baseball, and they cant possible retain Fielder after 2011 or Greinke after 2012. No, but then they can restock the farm once they trade away Fielder and Grienke, and the whole process starts over again. Theres no guarantee that they'll be able to pull out another Fielder, Braun, Gallardo, Weeks, etc. Besides, at this point, I dobt they trade Fielder and he likely walsk after this year. Fielder, Braun, Gallardo, Weeks, etc were acquired through the draft. But, if this season doesn't work out the way they thought it would, they can make it known that Fielder can be had for prospects, and I'm sure they'd get a very good package from someone for him.

  24. You can't mention sports dynasties without mentioning my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and their 2nd consecutive D-III National football title and the 3rd in 4 years. They're currently riding a streak of 30 consecutive victories. It's been Whitewater vs Mount Union (VA) in the D-III National Title game each of the last six years. Just wanted to get a mention in. That's all. :)
