  1. I love it. Best commercial ever.
  2. Matt Cain named NL Starter.
  3. Doesn't surprise me. That was probably the nastiest pitch of the game.
  4. He looked damn good today and I loved how much Vin Scully didn't like him. What was Scully's problem with him?
  5. You are aware you posses an ignore feature, right?
  6. Honestly I couldn't bring myself to watch Game 7 because of how hurt I was from Game 6.
  7. Lame. McCutchen is a great player, but not the type you tune into the Derby to see. Stanton was my prime motivation to watch it, too. :x Harper should have replaced him in the Derby.
  8. Just curious since I was born in '84 so I don't know how bad that was. Was it as bad as '03? I was in college and I remember after the whole Bartman/A Gonz fiasco, my dorm basically turned into a riot. Kids were throwing stuff out the window or into the hallway and I'm pretty sure I've never heard so much cussing as I did that night. For those who lived through both, which was worse? '84 or 2003?
  9. Yeah, I'm still going with "God."
  10. Now we're even for 1984. You couldn't have possibly been around in 1984. Nothing could make up for that. See you in hell, Steve Garvey. Well, I WAS alive in 1984, but I was still very young. I was three during those playoffs. I have only very brief memories of that season, like "Jody Davis hitting a double" on a WGN game and that was it.
  11. Now we're even for 1984.
  12. And some dude hit a solo HR out in Seattle to break up the perfect game/no hitter.
  13. It's been a while since there's been a really prolific base-stealer. Even though he's in the Reds system, I'm rooting for him. He'd be a lot of fun to watch.
  14. Spanky.
  15. Slappy.
  16. I know this isn't a popular opinion (surprise, surprise coming from me), but 21 will always be Sammy's number, and should have been retired long ago.
  17. People have different opinions than I do and it makes me sad. :(
  18. Never gamble more than you can afford to lose there, Mr. Bloody Sock.
  19. Hopefully Skip Bayless off's himself tonight because he doesn't want to live in a world where LeBron has a title. Or at least never goes on TV again. Don't pay much attention to whoring loudmouths like Bayless anymore. But I imagine the world will still turn. so then you've just completely quit watching ESPN?
  20. But the umpire would ask why though, correct? And once he took the glove he'd obviously see the pine tar in there.
  21. I don't understand what is so hypocritical, or why people have a problem with what they did. They knew he cheated and was easily bustable, so they had him busted. If he was so stupid to openly cheat with one team and then pull the same stuff while facing them, that's his problem. Hypocracy: "It's ok when you do it for me, but not ok when you do it for anyone else." What Washington did is the very definition of the word. Should Peralta have cheated? Absolutely not. Does he deserve the suspension he's about to receive? Absolutely yes. But Washington letting him get away with it for them, but then busting him as soon as he does it against them was crappy. If they were ok with it then, they should be ok with it now. End of story.
  22. That was a pretty chicken [expletive] move by the Nationals to bust Peralta for pine tar. Well ok, not totally, as he WAS breaking a rule, but he pitched for them last year and he probably did it then, too, but nobody in the organization said a damn thing about it then. Just the hypocrisy of it all bothers me.
