I don't understand what is so hypocritical, or why people have a problem with what they did. They knew he cheated and was easily bustable, so they had him busted. If he was so stupid to openly cheat with one team and then pull the same stuff while facing them, that's his problem. Hypocracy: "It's ok when you do it for me, but not ok when you do it for anyone else." What Washington did is the very definition of the word. Should Peralta have cheated? Absolutely not. Does he deserve the suspension he's about to receive? Absolutely yes. But Washington letting him get away with it for them, but then busting him as soon as he does it against them was crappy. If they were ok with it then, they should be ok with it now. End of story.
