Did you ever hear Harry when he was alive? Pat isn't as disoriented as Harry was some days, but you haven't heard a baseball game called unless you heard it called by Harry Caray and Steve Stone.

Pat and Ron are a great team. Pat Hughes is a great PBP man, and knows just how to cater to Ron Santo to make him an important part of the broadcast, too.

Think we could get in on him? If he rebounds we have a hell of a closer, and if he sucks, then it wouldn't cost us too much. He'd be a hell of a reclaimation project, though, and would probably have to straighten himself out in Iowa before joining the big club.

I wonder if either team will do autographs like the Brewers tend to do. I want to buy a baseball and take it to the game (although I can't find an official MLB one around here for the life of me).

I got tickets!! Unfortunately, all the really, really good seats were taken. Wish I'd have seen this thread sooner. I was going to try for behind home plate. Section 124, Row 5. Pretty darn good.

I don't want Stone here again. After all, it was his fault we lost in 2004, because he was too critical of the players. -
Maybe you could do a paper comparing the great players of the past (Cobb, Ruth, Williams, Mays, etc) to the players of today and see which era comes out on top. There's tons of stuff you can do, and tons of factors you can compare against each other. Do you still have that salary cap one saved on your computer? I'd really like to read it if you can post a link or something.

It strikes me that today's game is a wash, that there's not really much we can extrapolate from it. Lou made some bad calls pitching-wise, but I don't think we can realistically expect that to continue, nor should we expect our offense to be so flaccid. Hopefully that roof in Milwaukee is working properly and the Cubs can play some warm-weather baseball. Looking forward to Hill's start. Dude IS a beast. The question is how long until our order begins to contribute? I don't believe this pitching staff is going to be able to hold one run leads. Barrett is .000 and Jones is sub .080. I don't see us being able to hold leads this small. Well. Your answer is, how long do you expect Barrett to be .000? Until he gets a hit. :D
