    I really don't know if that was a joke or not. Joe Borowski throws 85 with his fastball. End of argument. I don't look at how hard a guy throws. I look at if he can get hitters out. JoBo no longer can, so I will also pass on him. Velocity is simply a detail if a pitcher can get hitters out.

    until you realize it's comcast cable, and then you'll want to kill yourself It's remarkable how Comcast seems to magically find ways to make my bill a bit higher every single month. Its amazing isn't it? Between basic cable and the internet service I ended up paying $180 a flippin' month! Don't know how it happened it just did. Traded it for Sat and DSL and never looked back. Charter isn't much better.

    A lot of times getting voted into the ASG is little more than a lifetime achievement award. Ripken didn't deserve a lot of his bids, especially near the end of his career, but he kept getting voted in year after year. Griffey is a sure-fire HOF'er, and that's what a lot of casual fans are voting on... career achievement rather than success in this season.

Can you blame any of us for expecting the worst around every corner? You do realize what team we root for, right? You sound like a fun guy. I mean, Truffle is calling you out about how overtly negative you are. That's like Flava Flav calling someone "really black" I really don't care what Truffle or anyone else thinks. If he doesn't like what I post, there are ways to ignore me. The fact that he hasn't tells me that he doesn't find me as bad as one would think. It's unfortunate that he chose to attack me in a personal manner, but whatever gets you to sleep at night, I guess. And I find it funny that I'm singled out when quite often (note: not ALWAYS, but often) I'm posting generally the same sentiments as others in game threads and elsewhere when things aren't going well.

    I'm not too worried about Lilly. He's been steadily improving each month, with a 2.70 ERA in June. He just needs to cut down on the walks and homeruns. Really? It seems like he's been much crappier this month.
