  1. Fred's not posting as much as he usually does? ;) Oh, crap !!! This is just like being at the house..... anything that goes wrong is my fault !!! Don't worry, Fred. It's like that at my house, too. ;)
  2. It's probably all he'll ever get. I'd be doing the same thing. Dude is livin' the dream right now, and I say more power to him.
  3. What is with the pathetically short game threads lately?
  4. It's too bad Hoff can't play 3rd so he could spell Rammy every now and then, and also give us one less reason to have Aaron Miles on this team. One less than zero? Yes. We will have -1 reasons to have him here.

  6. No, the regulars that sat yesterday are in there, while the regulars that played yesterday (Lee, Fukudome and Fontenot) are resting. Miles moves from SS to 2B, Hoffpauir moves from LF to 1B, and Johnson replaces Gathright. Fun times. I wonder if this is something Lou is going to do a lot this year (sitting all the starters once in a 2 game span). I was kinda excited to see Ramirez come back so we could see the 100% lineup for the first time in awhile, but so far I haven't seen one with Soriano, Theriot, Fukudome, Ramirez, Lee, Bradley, Soto, Fontenot in it yet. I don't have any problem whatsoever with giving the occasional regulars a day off here and there, but throwing the forfeit lineup out there against the reigning Cy Young winner is just stupid, IMO. Why not stagger them? Ramirez gets a day off one day, then the next day is Lee, then Bradley, then Fukudome, etc.
  7. Why on earth do you want to give Theriot a day off now? 3 HR's in 4 games? Let the guy play while he's hot. Wasn't Dusty Baker the king of giving guys off days in the middle of hot streaks or is that my hatred for the guy warping my memories? That was Dusty all right. I remember jokes on this board about Dusty giving a player a day off as a reward for a good game. Baylor did it too.
  8. Where the hell are you guys finding all these random pictures? Google image search has provided me with only mundane choices. Thats where I saw it. Looking again its on page 7 for me. You went through 7 pages of Rich Harden pictures and settled on the one of him in his underwear?
  9. Nah, Z will sit on the bench for 10 days, come into a game and throw an inning, thus nullifying his retroactivity, and then sit on the bench for another two weeks before his next start.
  10. Any word on when the MRI results become official?
  11. Nolasco has struggled. Let's hope he continues. Go Cubs!
  12. Never did like the phrase "down to their last strike." Not necessarily.
  13. I love this crowd. They've loving every minute of Z pinch-hitting.
  14. Hell of a game, Ted! Good work! =D> =D> =D> =D>
  15. He's one of the most underrated players in baseball. A bunch of us were complaining when Hendry signed him to that big deal, but honestly, he's been worth it. Every penny. He's had a few rough stretches, but he's been very solid over the life of his contract.
  16. Wow, they look like they actually give a damn now.
  17. Kind of a small game thread turnout for a saturday afternoon game.
  18. It's too bad Hoff can't play 3B or he'd be the perfect supersub for Aram/Lee/Bradley.
