The we need a lefty mentality is part of the game, especially late in the game when a tough lefty comes to the plate. However, when your lefty cant get lefty batters out any better than he can get righty batters out, its pointless. I understand the thinking. However, I only want that lefty there if he's effective. I don't care how many lefties I have in my bullpen. It could be zero, or it could be seven. All I care about is results-- Do they get hitters out on a regular basis? If so, then I want them on this team. If not, then I don't, and I don't care which hand he throws with.
