I'm sure the Mets are looking to acquire more than a 1B who can't hit anymore. And I'm all for playing Hoff more, but Soto will come around. However, if Lou saying that he'll play Hill over Geo if he doesn't turn it around soon lights a fire under him and gets his bat going, then I'm all for it.

I could see that with a pitcher like Z, but not every single time. I wouldn't want my crappy hitting pitcher coming up sooner and more often than even my worst-hitting position player.

Who would we have replaced him with? I was skeptical at first, too, but a month and a half into it he's pitching like he's earned every penny. I think it was a risk JH had to take, and as much as I criticize him, he made the right call with Demp. -

Maybe if you wouldn't be nuttier than a fruitcake, there wouldn't be a stigma attached to everything you touch. But this should have been served when he was hurt anyway. -
