    Cold weather sucks. When my body is actually in pain because of the temperature, it means it's way too cold. I hate having to get out of bed when it's cold. I hate having to start my car for 10 minutes before I leave so it can warm up. Unfort., I'm always running short on time (because it took me so long to roll out from under my warm covers), so I usually can't wait for it to warm up. Then I have to drive in an unheated car for 15 minutes until it finally warms up. By that time I'm nearly at my destination. 85 and humid sucks too, but not nearly as much as the cold.

    I'm incredibly happy I wasn't alive for the collapse in '84. I don't think I've ever heard my dad talk about it and not go into a profanity laced tirade. I can't imagine what it's like for those of you who witnessed 1969, 1984, AND 2003.

    Yeah, I'm sure that was the defining moment of his career. Did he ask the umpire for the baseball he used to strike you out with? I'm sure it looks great on his mantle right now.

    When he played here in Charleston a few years ago he dated one of my softball teammates. We'll just say she was 15 and he must have been 18ish at the time. After a few blow ups on the field last year he was quickly moved up. I was at Barnes and Noble tonight reading BA (I love how I can read it without buying it) and there was a snippet about him. It said that when he was named an all-star he didn't want to take part in it because he wasn't a starter. He said if he wasn't gonna start in the game he wasn't gonna play. It also said that when on the road he roomed with Delmon Young, and that apparently he rubbed off on Young a little.

    How many DPs? Will he GDP more then Neifi? Only time will tell. Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols might beat them both out in that category. And both of their teams may be in the playoffs! So?

    I like the uni Vance posted. I've always wondered why in the past few years some teams do the retro uniforms for certain Sunday games, but I can't recall the Cubs (a team with a lot of history) doing that. I would like to see them pull some of the old unis out every once in a while just to change things up a bit.
