  1. Ugh. Come on... Remmy warming up...double ugh.
  2. You're automatically cool because you're a meteorologist! Novoa entering. Please don't make me go crazy Roberto.
  3. Navin has an internet crush on Slugger? Why don't you ask her? No, no. I think everyone should PM him and ask. Get it straight from the source when he comes back. No, his inbox can only take so many PM's. 8-[ Come on DLee...
  4. Navin has an internet crush on Slugger? Pft. Everyone has an internet crush on me. And O_O, he told me at the swing set during recess.
  5. Blueheart, O_O wants to know how old you are and if you're single, but he's too scared to ask. So, do you like him? Circle one: Y/N
  6. "I didn't even know what Nurfside Baseball was."
  7. Yeah, I agree. Hitting a guy in or near the head is just awful and should not be tolerated. 7 guys ejected... if enough get thrown out and they can't field all the positions, what happens? Do they forfeit the game? I know when I played rec ball when I was younger the rule used to be that you only had to have 9 people on the field for the first pitch. So if you only had 9 people show up, but one of the people had a broken finger you could stick them in RF for one pitch and then take them out. Then for the rest of the game you had to play with only 8 fielders. I don't know what happens when that person's spot in the line up came up, I guess it was an automatic out. But maybe it's different in rec ball than it is in MLB.
  8. The funniest thing about the whole brawl was the one DET announcer. "YOU KNEW WHEN BIG BOY GOT DERE IT WAS GON GET ON!" I'm using that quote in my everyday life from now on. It will be my life motto.
  9. Ole Miss Cub-- I need to know where you found the pic in your sig file, I want to know the name/artist for it. I'd love to get that print in a large size and framed for my game room. It's a Norman Rockwell painting called "The American Pastime." I did a Google search, and this link is what I found (I'm sorry about the source, but it's the first thing I found). EDIT: Actually, upon further review, it's not called "The American Pastime," it's called "The Dugout." I doubted the source when I first read it, but went with it. Note to self: Never trust a Sox fan on matters about artists and paintings.
  10. Roast, if you don't go to work on Friday, don't bother showing up on Monday. WOOHOO!! Four-day weekend!!
  11. AWWWWWW!!! That is such a CUTE child! Can you guess who in that photo got cranky and started feeling nappy shortly after that pic was taken? Hint: It's not the baby.
  12. Eric, Thank you for taking time to answer our questions. What, if any, has been the difference for you between batting leadoff in college and 2nd in pro ball? Also, has the transition from an aluminum to wooden bat been difficult at all for you, a player that utilizes speed more than power?
  13. Where'd you get your numbers? Ohhh, another O_O-Raisin Memory Showdown... Can't wait to see who's right!
  14. Yep. I was at that game and have a pic of him walking to the dugout after an inning, and there's blood all over his pants. It was the Easter game. any way u could post that pic? I wish I could, but I don't have any way to get it on my computer. I only have the prints. Sorry.

  16. This column was in the local paper this morning. It's only one guy's opinion, so I don't know if it'll ever become anything more than that, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. login: tikhon password: nov19bw Personally, I'd love that, but I'm VERY biased. :D
  17. Of course, he has your email address blocked and has that restraining order on you right now, but he'll come around... He's just playing hard to get. He can't resist me.
  18. I love Len. He's funny, and he knows what he's talking about. Plus, he was in a garage band called Your Indentured Servants. It doesn't get any better than that. He's also better to look at than Chip.
  19. Walker expresses that he's comfortable at the top of the order. He also defers to what he calls Dusty's knowledge and says Corey can "carry a team." Walker sounds like the consumate teammate in those regards. He's expressing his desires while stating that he knows his manager has reasons and he respects that. Wait a minute Vance. Are you saying that Paul Sullivan is trying to start controversy? That's unfathomable.
  20. http://fantasybaseball.rotoworld.com/content/clubhouse_news.asp?sport=MLB&majteam=CHC  So Wilson is going to be starting the whole series. Great. He knows the ballpark?? What the hell is that? What, did he give the team bus driver directions on how to get to the stadium? If you wanna play the "knows the ballpark" game, Hairston has played at Yankee Stadium plenty of times while in the AL East. I don't think the stadium or team are very unfamilar to him, or Todd Walker for that matter.
  21. He threw off a mound for 5-10 minutes on Sunday according to ESPN.com. Please don't be teasing us here Mark........ Link ESPN showed a clip of him during the game on Sunday. They never showed him actually throwing, but he was standing on the mound about to throw (I think it was the bullpen mound). It was a nice sight.
  22. So would the players that participate in this tourney play in those games instead of the normal Spring Training games, or would they go back and forth if possible?
  23. Whatever. You just want to start the game thread, and you're using your mod powers to your advantage. You fiend!
  24. Well it IS 2 AM. I'm sure he's sleeping, like most normal people do at this time of the night. :P
