Ok, you drive a tough deal, but I have talked to Walt. He said that he would do Pujols straight up for Patterson. It will be difficult for Albert to take the news, because he doesn't want his little cousin playing for a crappy organization. :lol:

Well said! Yet, I sure hope Jocketty can work his magic to get a solid replacement in case the old man cannot play done the stretch run and hopefully in the playoffs.

I guess I am in the minority, but I do not think the Cards lead will get any bigger. The Cards have had a lot go right so far despite the injuries to Walker, Edmonds, and Rolen. I do not see this team improving unless these three players get 100% healthy or WJ makes a trade for another outfielder.

Well it is safe to say he will not be looking at the Cubs bullpen for help. He will take Prior and maybe Zambrano. As for 1st base, It does not matter who gets it because the other will be used as the DH. I just hope the NL can win this year so the other league does not get the WS advantage (which I find to be the most ignorant way to determine home field advantage).
