    Korea was the best team in the tourny, followed shortly by cuba, the WBC officials need to find a better formatKorea had the best record, but no way were they the best team in the tourney in terms of talent. In any event, I'm a happy man. japan was not the best team, (korea and cuba were both superior)they were fortunate the tourney was set up the way it was.i know ii know im being redundant but i sawthese teams live...did you?

    ok, granted im a little drunk, but i just got back from the final game...it was HUGE(granted i was rootin for cuba) WBC was BIG MLB be damned WBC needs to continue...i'll agree that that there needs to be refinement of the timing and the structure of the tourney but this thing has done wonders for interest in baseball worldwide, more thn the olympics could ever do, get behind it! if you saw the games i think you'd agree

    i havent been keeping too close track(been watching more WBC) but doesnt Pie have several xtra base hits hidden in those #'s including a couple triples?

    If you play that Steve Goodman song, "Dying Cub Fan's Last Request", backwards on a turntable, there's a section at the end where I swear it says "Mark is dead." I'm just glad that people still know who Steve Goodman is! I live 1 block off of "Steve Goodman Way" btw... Steve Goodman wrote the perfect country and western song

    argh!!! i'm listening to the game on XM and they have Barry Bonds as a guest in the booth...it is terrible, they're ignoring the game and "chatting" with Barry...i so much hate Bonds
