  1. As opposed to...when? It honestly seems like being a horrible, horrible fan is a time honored tradition, especially when it comes to screaming racial stuff. I dunno, I hear a lot more, "I paid for my ticket, I can do what I want" nonsense now than I ever recall hearing when I was younger. Maybe was just less aware or it received less coverage or blah blah blah. Either way, whether it's gotten worse or not isn't really the point. The point it that buying a ticket isn't a free pass to comport yourself like a p.o.s. Unfortunately, a lot of fans don't feel that way.
  2. Yeah, it doesn't really matter what the fan said. Smart has to be suspended. Missouri fans chanted stuff at Thomas Robinson about his mom dying. You can't go in the crowd and start [expletive] people up, no matter how much you want to. However, if there were racial things said, the fan should also be banned, as Smack said. I do feel like fans have a more exaggerated sense of entitlement these days. Purchasing a ticket shouldn't be a free pass to be as horrible a person as you want with no consequences. I bet it's even worse in college since the tickets are cheaper, and many universities are in backwoods dumps like Lubbock where probably 90% of the residents are racists.
  3. abuck, did you see this one? http://imageshack.com/a/img839/9409/lx4.gif
  4. You have got to be kidding me. That stuff cannot be impressing scouts, right?
  5. And before you clowns start up with the jokes, murdering videographers is NOT bending the rules.
  6. This is a good old fashioned ass whipping.
  7. Haha, Ridley literally body slams Embiid, no call at all. Much worse than the move that got Embiid a Flagrant 1 in Ames.
  8. I hate playing ISU.
  9. Brent Musberger just referenced UNLV's old coach, "The Shark, Fran Tarkenton."
  10. wow. that's pretty crazy.
  11. Is #5 even legal per the NCAA? Can schools buy out a guy's lease?
  12. he didnt even get hit as far as i could tell. Selden still got a T.
  13. I'm so sick of watching Marcus Smart flop.
  14. Yes, but marcus smart will shoot 168 free throws.
  15. I think that's exaggeration. No one's going to run away with this conference this year. I guarantee this KU team will lay 1-2 monster stinkers like a loss @ texas tech, a home loss to OU. Something dumb. I think ISU will still be in the hunt for the title till the end.
  16. Yeah, we were very fortunate to catch ISU on a cold streak. With Cobbins out, this was the biggest conference game of the year for us. It's nice to have two relatively tough roadies out of the way (OU, ISU). OKSt will still be a tough game, and Baylor has talent, but @ISU is a really tough place to play. I dunno. I think he's just a victim of the crazy expectations that the LeBron comparisons created. I mean, he put up 17pts, 19rbs, and the announcers practically talked like he was a disappointment. I think he just needs to be stronger, stronger with the ball, and pick his spots better from 3.
  17. Embiid is going to be crazy good.
  18. Wow, 15 points in the first half. That's some KU @ TCU style bad.
  19. KU's throwback unis today are fantastic.
  20. Thank God the SEC lost.
  21. Whoa, hats off to Weber. I thought they were going to get annihilated all season long. Losing Cobbins is a big blow for OKSt. But I'm not confident we'll win the Big 12. We'll lose at least 1-2 games we should win; our guys don't play D. ISU and Baylor will both present tough tests. Should be an interesting year.
  22. I haven't been able to watch much KU hoops this year, but from what I've seen, Embiid might be the best player on the team and definitely has the most pro upside. When he's on the court, we are so much better.
  23. we are not good. And we seem to be getting worse.
