  1. KU 21 - LA Monroe 19 Take THAT Lousiana Monroe. The LAM Warhawks QB had 370 yards passing against us. I don't like our chances at Toledo.
  2. Fake punts up 24 points are bush league. Not WWTJD. (What would touchdown Jesus Do?) But props to ND. They made the most of every mistake PSU made.
  3. I really don't feel like explaining, AGAIN, that there were a billion factors coming into play into that decision, many of them that weren't even sports-related. But why let facts get in the way of a really good bias? Notre Dame jealousy makes me laugh. School pride from people who didn't go to said school makes me laugh. That's ridiculous. Do you have any idea how many people on this board root for college teams they didn't attend? You might as well say you can't root for the Cubs unless you've tried out for the team. Hey, I'm not saying you can't root for a college you didn't go to. I'm happy when Northwestern wins, as both my parents attended there, and I grew up in Evanston. And I understand when a person has an allegiance to his respective state school. But part of me finds it a bit silly when non-alums get all crazy about a school they didn't attend. And I often wonder if all these non-ND alums would love the Irish so much if ND didn't happen to be really good most of the time. Probably not. But that's cool. We all have different reasons for rooting for sports teams. Picking ones because they're good maybe isn't such a bad idea. Hey, Yankees jerseys are on sale right now, too. Maybe all you fake Domers should get 'em while their hot. My dad went to Notre Dame, my mom lived 3 miles from the campus for the first 22 years of her life, and everyone in both extended families roots for Notre Dame. If I wanted to jump on a bandwagon I'd root for Florida State, or Michigan, or another of those teams that have been to about 35 straight bowl games, as opposed to a program that hasn't even won a bowl game in 12 years. I can't speak for every ND fan on here, but I could not have chosen another football team even if I'd wanted to. You might want to learn something about people before you start throwing out accusations like that next time. Just a suggestion. Oh, relax ND. I'm 75% messing with you. You guys get so riled up about ND, I just can't resist. Go PSU! Good luck to Kansas. Talk about a schedule! Northwestern State last week and NOW Louisiana-Monroe! Well, I guess when you're one of the big boys you have to be willing to play all-comers. Scheduling Toledo next week, though, just seems like a suicide mission! If you think talking smack about KU football is going to get me riled up, you're barking up the wrong tree. I know they're not that good.

  5. Yeah, it's been pretty fugly. Having grown up watching Northwestern football and spent my college years watching KU football, I'm used to seeing some awful play, though. I don't really care for UI, but I still think Zook will make them respectable.

  8. I'm just messing around. If somebody would kidnap Pinkel before he messes things up, I'd say you guys would have a real good shot at the B12N.
  9. I know he's currently employed, but are there any Larry Beinfest fans out there?
  10. Go OLE MISS!
  11. Go OLE MISS!
  12. Go OLE MISS!
  13. I hope Kansas can actually win more than 6 games in the absolutely awful Big 12. Hey, me too. I didn't know you were a Kansas fan!
  14. That's some seriously weak sauce.
  15. I hope JoePa personally lays a hit on Brady Quinn this Saturday.
  16. http://www.news-journalonline.com/NewsJournalOnline/Sports/Headlines/sptCUBS01090506.htm and an article on the DCubs. Like a season in review type thing. Characterizing Marshall, Hill, and Marmol as "marginal" seems like a stretch.
  17. KU vs UL-Monroe. Snood vs. Vance. National Title implications abound.
  18. That offense has struggled for a while now as has Miami's. Yeah, I think since Richt (?) left. Bowden's son would have been canned long ago if his dad wasn't an icon.
  19. FSU won't be the superpower it once was until they can Bowden's son as the offensive coordinator.
  20. Let KU's run to the national title begin.
  21. I gotta think that they scheduled the kU game so early cause they didn't want to give fans a longer time to tailgate (i.e. get wasted). Not that 11 doesn't give you enough time to get plenty of beers in you. They did it so they could be on National TV. Yeah, that might have been another reason. But it's not like 11AM games are the only ones that are televised. kU wasn't originally supposed to be Thanksgiving weekend though. They moved it there for the TV, so they're going to accomodate ABC with the time too. EDIT: Link Same thing next year too, although obviously the time isn't set. Also, they probably wanted to protect as many Mizzou students as possible from witnessing a fourth straight border loss and the jayhawk fans carrying off the goalposts. The kU students will tear down the goalposts at Mizzou? Anyways, the streak ends this year! I think we did it two years ago at Mizzou.

  23. He sounds like a more athletic version of Dopirak. Yes, we should be. How old is he? Any chance he can bring that OBP up?
