  1. i wouldn't. Especially within our division.
  2. Spare part? You got to give it to Hendry though, he has been playing up the Dempster to the rotation bit. Yeah, I'm officially confused.
  3. especially considering, for whatever reason, Lou seemed hell bent on keeping him out of the rotation.
  4. So I gotta wait till round 25 before I can submit King Kelley?
  5. No, it was a crime when he stabbed that guy with a pocketknife.

  7. okay, i stand corrected. espn only had their record back 2002. i still think OSU is getting a big-time free pass on their schedule by the talking heads while KU is getting ravaged. I know --we are an at-large while OSU is an autobid-- but they shouldn't be in the NC game. The media seems content to ignore that, though.
  8. Historically, they do play good teams. But: 7-6, 6-6, 1-10, 2-9, 5-7 those are the last 5 Washington seasons. That was not a premium non-con game unless they made the agreement in '95. Now maybe they were forced into UDub because of extenuating circumstances, but that's a soft team for a perennial contender. tOSU's schedule is the only reason in they're in the title game this year, and you know it.
  9. well, it wasn't supposed to be a rant, really. KU was clearly the beneficiary of a soft schedule. But I'm just tired of people pretending Mangino was going all Dr. Evil and diabolically scheduling himself into a BCS bowl. Big Man was just trying to get a bowl and keep his job. Everything else just fell into place. I'd be pissed if I were Mizzou fan, too. But as someone else pointed out elsewhere (maybe you), you guys have a very good class coming in and look to be in the driver's seat in the north for next year, at least.
  10. This is the last time I'll address the KU schedule. A few things: A) When scheduled, CMU and Toledo were not the pushovers they ended up being. I know, it's not like we caught ND in a down cycle, but small conference champions have challenged us in the past. In fact, we lost to Toledo last year. B) Don't bitch to KU about our conference schedule. We didn't choose it. Bitch to the Big XII. C) Please stop saying they "scheduled their way to a BCS bowl." To me, that implies KU made that schedule with its eye on the Orange Bowl, and that's ludicrous. Plain and simple, KU was trying to schedule its way to a bowl. Any bowl. We've been struggling to recover from the Terry Allen era, and Mangino/Perkins realized the best way to do that was to get a few 7-9 win seasons under our belt and build from there. Even then, when I predicted 8-9 wins at the start of the season, I was laughed at. But whaddya know, we found a very good QB on our roster, and we shored up our secondary, and Nebraska fell off the map, and stuff just skyballed out of control, and we won 11 games. But if anyone seriously thinks KU was banking on being 2 games away from the NC game, they're smoking crack. That's why I see tOSU's schedule as FAR more egregious. That is a perennial powerhouse team. They will have now played for the title 3 times since 2002. They had no business scheduling the teams they did. They DID schedule their way to the title game. KU just stumbled its way into a dream season. Anyway, it sucks for all the Mizzou fans out there. Yeah, they deserved it more than us. But you should have thought of that when you applied to a school no one likes. Stuff like this will happen. Because crazy stuff like this (and tyus edney, and the fifth down, and that Nebraska receiver kicking the ball to his teammate on the final play) will always happen to you. Because God hates your school.

  12. Meph I am with you on this one. I think they should have a 11 game season. 8 conference games. 1 game against a school from another BCS conference. 1 game against a school from a non-bcs con. These 2 games are scheduled by a NCAA official. 1 wild card game. The wild card game is for independents and rival games that might not fit in with the other 10 games. Isn't it bad enough Georgia didn't play LSU or Kansas OU or Texas? It just makes the 12 team conferences get even more bids because they could play the bottom feeders and everyone would say how tough their conference is because of it. what they should do is stop letting teams avoid the other good teams in their conference. Like OU and Texas are pretty much good every year - a team from the Big XII north should have to play at least one of those teams in a season. Same with the Big Ten - nobody should be able to play the entire schedule without facing either Ohio State or Michigan. That's silly. If they used that logic, everybody in the Big XII south would've played Nebraska or Colorado. None of these programs are guaranteed to be good. The imbalanced schedule is a problem, but that's not a solution.

  14. Know what would be great to soak that blood up? Cotton.
  15. Wow, that's just a terrible photoshop. That's the best that phag could come up with? Wow, really? And I'm sure the guy who made it was going for photorealism.

  17. I don't. I kinda like it.
  18. what'd he say?
  19. Unreal performance by Augustin and James. It was like they were the only 2 guys on the court for UT in the second-half.
  20. wow, Texas upsets the Raisins at Pauley Pavilion. Very exciting game. UCLA rimmed out the game-winning three at the buzzer.
  21. Oh so you go to kU? We prefer "FedEx Orange Bowl-bound KU." seriously, is the cotton bowl in the bcs? thats exactly what i want to know Honestly, I don't know. Anybody? Mizzou? Rocket? IMB? Care to shed some light on this?
  22. Once again this argument would hold weight if OSU had barely beaten these "weak" teams, but outside of 2 games all year(Illinois and Mich St) they dominated everybody. They allowed more than 17 points 1 time all year, and averaged over 32 points. Its not like Mizzou played a juggernaut of a schedule. Every SOS measure has Mizzou with a significantly better SOS. They played a team better than anyone OSU has played, and played them twice(neither at home). Yep. I thought it was laughable when, on the selection show, the interviewer tried to insinuate that tOSU had to overcome prejudice to get to the title game. That team would never be in the title game if their jerseys had a different nae on the front.
  23. Oh so you go to kU? We prefer "FedEx Orange Bowl-bound KU."
  24. fantastic question, Henry. I'll send you the answer via FedEx. From Miami. While I'm drinking orange juice. At the Orange Bowl.
  25. disagree. Mizzou/arkansas could be a good game. ASU/Texas maybe PSU/aTm
