The FV stuff is at best, a rough estimate and should not be tied to anything and more specifically mythical money. MLB is not a commodities market. It should be about winning baseball games. A lot of the stuff that people parrot from Fangraphs and other places is a house of cards built on faulty assumptions and taken as fact. Baseball is about tangible outcomes.

    Easily my favorite non-Cub. He was funny and great and had great fun playing baseball. I could listen to him talk hitting forever. If he chooses he will be an outstanding broadcaster.

    If one wasn’t watching this game, reading you turds comments one would think the Cubs are getting blown out. Assad has not pitched badly. He’s not been able to locate well since his injury. But he’s pitched fine.

    That is retrospective. They never expected to be bad. They spent up to the line and it didn't work out. But in all sincerity who gives a horsefeathers about it?
