    His numbers in AAA are just horrible. What has happend to him?? Man he must be one messed up player. I have to believe his confidence is at an all-time low. I feel sorry for him and the Cubs.

    I pretty much agree BBB. However, we were discussing this a few days ago and I mentioned that Murton is just the type of hitter the Cubs need in this line up (this year). They really don't need a big bopper (high K/high power guy). They need some OBP. Murton provides that. I know that the corner outfield spot is a "traditional" spot for a masher but the Cubs have a few of those and not enough guys to be driven in. I'd rather just go with Murton than give up prospect for a Floyd. Now if it's Dunn we are discussing, well that is a horse of a different color.

    wow i knew he was a TE for Auburn, never knew he was teammates with Bo though. pretty interesting. Bo Jackson lives in Burr Ridge (my neighboring village).. he lives about 3-4 miles away fro me. I didn't know Bo still lived in IL. :D

Calling him out on "questioning people's integrity" is an implication to me that you feel he is a troll. Whatever. Keep it to yourself. Did you check the other threads he posted in?

    Ok, I'll check those threads. I agree with some of your points. I was just under the impression people were lashing out at Dusty wildly. Thanks. That is why it is a good idea to read more and question people's integrity less when you first get here.

    On ESPN they mentioned he might be out forever. I feel bad for him. BTW he was the starting Tight End on the Auburn Football team. His RB, Bo Jackson.

    It's just the way I see it. Manny is Sammy Sosa on the back end of his career all over again. We couldn't wait for Sammy to get moved. We'd be doing the same thing with Manny, IMO. Beltran is much younger and doesn't appear to be adapting to well to New York. I think he'd be awesome in Wrigley. I also like a balanced line up, and Manny doesn't provide that. Nomar, Aram, Lee and Manny all hit right handed. Beltran probably isn't even being shopped at this point, but he's still on my wish list. Dunn is the guy I'd like to see in left. Beltran has been playing hurt for most of the year. he has had a bad quad since late May. He doesn't talk about it much but it is affecting every ascpect of his game.

    Manny wil not propell the Mets to the WC. In fact this is a classic Met move that backfires. Manny is from Washington Heights. The distractions alone will decrease his production. The Mets still don't have a bullpen or a decent 4th or 5th starter. No, Manny is no Christ.

    No the board wouldn't. They would applaud Dusty for having a lucid thought. Neffi hasn't been a capable stopgap for well over two months. That is roughly 1/2 half the time Nomar has been injured. Try again

    With Dusty at the helm they're not that good. In fact, their record is just about right give or take a game or two. Get use to it.

    Anyone else here this? I'm calling BS and saying this thread be locked in order to prevent another fiasco like last week's Dunn thread. I smell a troll. And my smeller is pretty good. I will retract everything if there is some independent confirmation.

    There is no way Soriano plays outfield for the Cubs. If he comes to Chicago it will be as a 2nd baseman. Again, he refused to go to the outfield while with the Yankees. That was part of the reason why he was traded. He has again refused to go to the outfiled with Texas. So I have to believe that if Soriano becomes a Cub that means Walker is headed elsewhere. However, as I stated earlier I think if a trade is made and the Cubs are part of it Soriano gets shipped out to the Mets for Floyd or Cameron.

    Houston is getting fat on weak teams or playing decent teams who are slumping. It won't hold up. That written, I think they may end up with a better record than the Cubs, but still not make the playoffs.

    Right. I dont think Soriano suits up for the Cubs. Cliff Floyd is having a monster year and Hendry has already tried a couple of times to get him. And if we know anything about Hendry it is that he gets his man (much in the same way the paper boy in Better of Dead got his $5.00). I think Hendry flips Soriano, who both Randolph and Omar have nocturnal emissions over, for Floyd. That makes a little more sense to me. Soriano refused to go to the outfiled with the Yankees and Rangers I don't know why he would do it for the Cubs.

    It is becuase every internet message board needs it's own troll. He trolls this board all the time. All one has to do is look up ZZ Thorn's posting history. Pick a topic and he will take the opposite opinion of most everyone else and at the same time put his toes to the line of taboo, but not corss it, becuase he likes to argue. If people would ignore his inane contrary opinons he would stop posting all together. He should just change his screen name to Devil's advocate becuase IMO he doesn't even believe half the nonsense he posts.

    Ok, I'm glad Jeromy Burnitz is the Cubs RFer. There I said it. I cannot help but like the guy. He is playing hard every day and that is all I ask. Way to go Jeromy! I still miss Sammy
