  1. I wonder where they go when they disappear down those steps in the dugout.
  2. They should simalcast Len and JD during Pats inning off
  3. I don't like these walks. I'm glad he's a ground ball pitcher.
  4. Had it last night. It was pretty good, but a bit too greasy. Still recommend getting it, though. Too greasy is just the right amount of greasy in a sandwich like that. My mouth is watering.
  5. That looks delicious. I wish we were going to make it to Chicago this year.
  6. I bet a rocket line drive will get a helluva rebound off the plexiglass.
  7. There's a video showing them a few posts up from yours. They look exactly like you'd expect indoor bullpens to look. Like horsefeathers. I don't like them. I wouldn't like to sit in them If I were a relief pitcher. Like a fish in bowl.
  8. How fast does Houston try to pry away Quintana? Do they wait until the ASB?
  9. Dude gets $100 K/year in pension. Somebody needs to get him to rehab if using.
  10. They showed some of the bullpen on the broadcast last night. It was hard to tell, but from what I saw they looked kind of shitty.
  11. You have to understand that it's good to see the bullpen put in high pressure situations and do well than not have them in high pressure situations, so we don't know. Regardless of the outcome, seeing the bullpen do well is a good thing, no?
  12. Yeah, I've been on board the Javy bandwagon from day 1, but slow your roll, son. NL West: Giants NL Central: Javy Baez NL East: Nationals WC: Dodgers and Rockies NL MVP: Javy Baez NL Cy Young: Javy Baez NL Manager of the year: Javy Baez AL: Don't care NL West: Rockies NL Central: The team full of male models NL East: Nats WC: Giants and Dodgers AL West: Astros AL Central: Indians AL East: Boston AL WC: Blue Jays and Mariners
  13. Their team is great defensively.
  14. Matheny looks like a douche-bag no matter what he's wearing. I bet he beats his wife.
  15. From five-thirty-eight https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/is-the-home-run-back-will-the-shift-ever-die-and-8-more-burning-baseball-questions/ Getting better, but still not there yet.
  16. I like the black T-shirt, but $40 for a T-shirt is a little steep.
  17. I love that a Hendry quote started with "obviously".
  18. I just want to see one 20 run, 9 inning game this year.
  19. The other memorable game I went to was the game Prior gat hit on the elbow. My girlfriend and I were sitting in the bleachers and you could hear the smack. Wrigley was deathly silent for a good 15 seconds afterwords.
  20. May 23rd 2004, Cubs vs. Cards. I don't really remember much about the game, but it was one of the best days of my life. I was attending an academic conference and my major professor (who carries a picture of Ernie Banks in his wallet) and I went to the Goose Island Brew Pub to check to make sure that they were set up for a reunion we were having the next night. We sat down at the bar and had a beer. We heard two guys next to us talking about a bus trip Goose Island had for the game. We asked the bar tender and he told us that all the tickets were sold but we could hang out to see if there were any no-shows. About 3 beers later they did have two tickets for us. For $50 a piece we got to go to a private room with an all you can eat all you can drink bar before the game. We did some damage there. Then we got on the bus and had seats in the RF bleachers right in front of Sammy. Great game, Aramas or Sammy homered and the Cubs won. Then after the game they bussed us back and we had more beer. We stumbled back to the hotel and took showers then went with a group of Japanese folks to the Chicago Firehouse restaurant.
