    I'm denying it. First, the window shouldn't be closing. If it is closing it's because of a lack of support from ownership and piss poor management from the front office. "The Core" are still in their prime, it's a tragedy of Cubs proportions if they become mediocre and still have the players they do.

    I see this as a sign that the universe is righting itself. The 2016 Cubs messed up the timeline by winning and now things are coming back to homeostasis. Obviously, it sucks for us, but this is our natural predicament in life as Cub fans. Shitty owners, mediocre teams, Wrigley fun.
