  1. For me, the theme here is that you can't make a full team out of spare parts. They have maybe four everyday players on the team and a bunch of hope in the unseen. They have half a starting lineup
  2. Hermosillo is not long for the Cubs
  3. The White Sox and Braves are scuffling a little bit out of the gate and the Brewers don't scare until about the 6th inning, but the Cubs are about to play 14 games with teams that clearly have more talent than then them. I'm hoping they will only be four or five games under .500 after this stretch.
  4. Cubs are a bd team. Ross makes them a tiny bit worse.
  5. Lol, I’ve been in the woods all day. I read the thread. I thought the Cubs lost until like the few posts. Then I looked at the score.
  6. I think about how many people are day drinking and will be beyond smashed by 3:30 and won't make the game.
  7. The Reds start at 2-11, just a few years ago they looked like a team on the rise.
  8. We have five.
  9. This is their talent level, a slightly under .500 team
  10. Chris Farley Jr just went long.
  11. The bats are heating up. Nelson is hot. When I saw him last week he looked awful every AB.
  12. I don't really want to sit out in 43-degree temps for 6 hours either.
  13. Not exactly a glowing reveiw.
  14. Stro hoping to stay on the mound until the rain comes.
  15. Hosmer + Campusano + Myers + Cash for Mills + Heyward + Ortega + Bote. Lol, I forgot Bote even existed.
  16. When I was at the Smokies game it only came into play one time in the first inning when the Biscuits pitcher had a ball called. It didn't seem to be much of a problem for any of the pitchers, at least in that game. One thing I did notice is that if the batter stepped out of the box they shut down the pitch clock for that pitch. Are they limiting hitter step-outs?I don't know, it never was an issue.
  17. I'd say it'll be Leiter(or maybe Mills himself), Rucker, Roberts, Hermosillo, and then one of Chavez or Effross. I'm going Chavez, Hermosillo, Rucker, Leiter, Norris. I kind of feel bad for Herosillo because you can tell he knows every at-bat could be his last.
  18. This guy has incredible lateral movement on his pitches.
  19. Chris Martin is bad. But he use to rule the world.
